Chapter 123: Immortality

Zamarad felt it. The energy flowing through her body was overwhelming at first. However, with each new wave that assaulted her senses, she felt more alive than she had been previously.

It was refreshing, to say the least. She was unsure of how long she had slept. She didn't know what was going on with her family and was anxious to open her eyes. Unfortunately, she had no idea how to do so.

Helplessness took over her body. Just like when she was confined in the golden palace, her soul was confined in her body. She had no control of it. Not until after she had fully recovered every bit of energy she lost while saving Shahzad.

She had no other option but to let fate take its course. It was then that she saw a memory which neither belonged to her nor this time. A memory of her teacher, Maimuna.
