Chapter 25: His Infatuation

Minutes turned to hours as hours made days. Days that were spent together by the two different entities. Days that were filled with laughter and joy. Maimuna's mere presence had lit up the king's otherwise gloomy lifestyle.

Owing to her incredible sense of humor and always active persona, the king who had never picked up a single cup found himself doing more than that. He would join his darling little lady whenever he was free of his kingly duties. 

Ranging from washing the dishes to cooking in the kitchen, he would pull up his sleeves and mimic her actions. This increased the respect that his subordinates had for their new guests.

All was not flowers and chocolates though. There were nights where Maimuna could hardly sleep due to the nightmares that stole her peace away. Such nights she would spend crying in Malik's arms until she falls asleep.
