Chapter 39: Chapter 26 (B)

A few seconds later I heard someone enter the room I knew everyone already thought that I was dating Mateo so I didn't bother to pull away.

"Hey... what happened?" I heard Jessica's voice as her fingers grazed my cheek. I felt a different kind of emotion in the pit of my stomach and my eyes welled up in tears. I pulled away from Mateo abruptly and sprung up from my seat. I pulled her into a bone-crushing hug and let my tears soak her shirt. She was taken off guard but she wrapped her arms around after few seconds and rubbed comforting circles on my back.

"Boyfriend issues." I heard Mateo whisper. I didn't have to tell her more before she started cursing my unknown boyfriend under her breath.
