Chapter 2: I Finagle some OP powers (sorta)
'Okay so I gotta be smart about this, lets see need to ask some questions to figure things out.' "So you said your bored and I'm entertainment right, how does that work."
"Oh trying to be smart huh, well good luck. For your enlightenment being omnipotent gets old after a couple aeons. Some last longer but for the rest of us we need entertainment. One of the recently popular ways is by taking souls like you giving them powers and throwing them into a world and watching them live."
'Okay so I'm entertainment which means he wants me to live but why me specifically and why all this trouble giving me powers I'm sure he could just watch some anime or something else for entertainment so why this?' "Why me specifically and why not just watch other worlds or something?"
"OOHHH a smart one huh? Well that's because I can attach a bit of myself to you with your wishes and get to feel everything you experience."
'Great he's gonna hook me up like some VR pay per view channel, but if he's ROB why bother with all this?' "Why not do that without asking?"
"Because the soul at its base resists such incursions and it gets removed when you get sent to another life without your constent."
'Wait that means that he isn't really omnipotent, should I ask about that? Better take a risk.' "I thought you were ROB and could do anything?"
"HUMPH, I am omnipotent! Your feeble mind couldn't comprehend the laws I am working with to give you this chance! Now enough questions what are your wishes!"
'Ouch! Touchy much, guess I'm not getting anymore out of him so lets see what I can make out. I do have plenty of time after all.' After that outburst I spend as much time as I can laying out the groundworks of my priorities. Number one is see if I can do anything for my parents. I don't think I'd be able to enjoy my second chance if I didn't. Number two is try to find a way to unhook his pay per view, I don't want him sneaking a peak when I sleep with my wife after all. Number three is to see if I can find something that has the potential to be OP. This way I might be able to get around his no OP powers thing. Lastly I need to pick a world with enough potential. If I play my cards right I should be able to grow powerful enough to hop worlds. This means I will be able to avoid a level cap by world travelling and eventually get out from ROB's control. Now if I can just overcome that habit of forgetting something important and lets use all those fanfics I read as a guide. It takes me a while and with nothing to write on I have to do everything in my head which makes me have to backtrack and keep things simple but I believe I am ready (Hey! I don't have a super brain that's what wishes are for).
"For my first wish, I wish my parents would never have trouble with money."
"Not granted, No fun for me so you would have to do something to entertain me for it."
"Alright I will give up my memories of my parents and of the world I am going to in exchange."
"Make it those memories and the memories of our meeting here and you have a deal"
'Dang demon.' "Agreed." I was gonna give up the other memories as I feel they would hold me back but loosing the memories of here is gonna bite me. "For my second wish I wish for a perfect elder blood from the Witcher series with none of the downsides."
"Nope too powerful and violates worldly laws. Unless you want to die as soon as I send you to your nest life."
'Great, this guy is about as helpful as Aqua. Okay so I'll have to try something else.' After some more thinking I came up with a second idea "I wish for the power of Shendu"
"Oh, that's a nice one, granted."
'I don't like how he said that well anyway lets work with it.' "I wish my power of Shendu could grow without limit."
"Hmm, you are smart, granted."
'Great I bet he would have just made it some other nonsensical power would grow without limit if I wasn't specific.' "I wish for the Pan'ku box allowing me to summon the other demons and absorb their power for myself."
"Well you are making this interesting, granted."
'Alright let me think is there anything else I forgot any weaknesses of demons or ways he could screw me over. I am using demon power, but he probably wouldn't give me anything as good without that downside. Wait the shadow khan!' "I wish to be able to summon and command the shadow khan"
"Hmm, granted with conditions."
"What are those conditions?"
"Ha I said no questions, figure it out yourself. Now since you asked a question and I think your strong enough no more wishes where do you want to go?"
'Crud, this guy is a demon for sure. Well its a good thing I'm going to a world with lots of gods' "I want to go to the world of Dan Machi.
"Oh? very well then off you go."
Suddenly the swirling grey all around me turns black and rushes into me. "AAAHHHH!"
