Dust particles floated absentmindedly across the considerable span of the rocky cavern. Smashed bits of rock of all shapes and sizes littered the ground, turning what used to be an unassuming and peaceful area into a battle-scorned mess. A few of the rare trees that managed to sprout in this rocky terrain were toppled over, while any of the savage beasts that could have fled had long done so.

The ones that couldn't escape hid within the deepest depths of the lone river running through this area or any dark cave or crevice that they could. A shadowy mass of fur, blade, claw, and fury was still chasing an incredibly large dragonkin that was way too swift for its frame.
