Three years later...
Three in the afternoon. He expected the sun to be high in the sky, not that he had seen in some time. But that was expected. He was not sleeping, he just stared into the ceiling. He could have possibly closed his eyes pretending to be asleep until the night came, but then he couldn't. Closing eyes was dangerous. Always. He was never alone when he closed his eyes. She was always there, always haunting his dreamless days. He could never get rest. Not really.
He tried everything. Killing. Sex. Drugs. Still, he could see her. Everywhere. She never left for long.
But there was hope. Back where it all began. That's what the medium said. He would find an answer. He would find a new beginning. New life.
