Chapter 19: Letting go of the past can mean leaving yourself open to love

I asked Ewan to drive this evening because my head is still spinning over the conversation I just had with Bella. I hadn’t considered that she’d have to move out of state for her placement. Of course, that wouldn’t be a problem considering I can work anywhere around the world. As soon as the thought hits me, I consider where my mind is heading. I’m conflicted because I want her, but another part of me shies away from the thought of our relationship progressing. I can’t even believe that the thought of moving to be with her even fleetingly ran through my mind.

I can tell by the expression on her face that she was expecting more. I’m just not sure if I have more to give, or if I even want to give more.
