Chapter 22: A new alliance
After I put back my clothes I looked at the passed out Leon and cast [Heal] on him and in less than second he was to top condition and opened his jumping up from the ground , his assistant was surprised at how fast his healing was and said "If I may ask , wasn't your semblance fire related Lord Ozma?" she knew my name since I had said it before the fight started. I smiled and said to her "Well I don't really have a semblance" and this surprised her but before she could continue Leon spoke fully dressed now , and his clothes were the same "Well that doesn't really matter , good fight Ozma you are indeed strong. I would like to have a rematch sometime later but now let's talk business" and I smiled at that and said "Well anytime Leon" before we started walking towards his castle with Salem following us with a sigh.
After we walked for a bit we finally reached his castle that looked pretty much the same as Regis's castle , medieval styled , but his was bigger by a lot having many rooms and many areas like garden , training , relaxing and a giant bath. "Leon were you the one who designed this castle's structure?" to which he laughed before saying "Indeed , isn't this the best castle you've ever seen? Wait until you see the bath , it's giant and it's really relaxing after a fight" to which I just chuckled and said to Salem "It seems we will be spending the night here love" and she just smiled before whispering to me "It seems this time I won't be able to join you in the bath" and after hearing that my mood went a bit down since it was my favorite spot to have fun , as there would be no mess , I hated the after cleaning process. Leon looked at Salem and me before saying "It seems we weren't introduced yet , who is this beautiful lady Oz?"
After hearing him Salem just smiled and introduced herself "I am Salem , Ozma's wife" and I smiled at him and said "Back off , she is mine" while hugging Salem who just chuckled , Leon laughed at that and said "I wouldn't dare , my wife would end me" and right after he said that a woman who had beautiful black wavy hair and brown eyes and was wearing a sundress appeared and said to Leon in a annoyed tone "Leon what did I tell you about fighting our guests" and she was so surprised when she saw me and Salem behind him that she asked "You didn't run away?" , I was so surprised at this that I couldn't hold it and started laughing with Salem. After that little encounter we got in the castle and after we sat down in a room Leon led us to we introduced ourselves to who I assume was his wife "Hello I am Ozma and this is my wife Salem , we are the king and queen of Vale" and the woman smiled happily while serving us tea and cookies.
"My name is Velvet Theodore and I can see you already meet my husband Leon , I'm sorry for the inconvenience he may have caused since his brain sometimes seems to stop working" the last part she said while looking at Leon who just flinched before saying "But it was me who got beaten , why are you blaming me" and she just looked at him before releasing a sigh and looking back at us "So what brings you to our prosperous kingdom?" and I smiled at that before taking the tea from the table "Well we've come because Regis said you were interested in our new advancements" I sipped the tea and it was so delicious I made me ask her "By the way the tea is very good , may I ask from what plant was it made?" after hearing me Salem sipped the tea too and was surprised at how delicious it was too.
After hearing us Velvet smiled happily and said "Thank you , this is a tea is made with Velvet leaves. They are produced locally by my family , it's our family's pride" and we smiled at that before saying "That's great , after this talk I want to buy some to drink home as we are tea lovers" and Velvet smiled at that before Leon spoke "Ah I remember now , Regis said that it was you who invented the fast communication thing he called scroll" and after hearing him Velvet was surprised "So young but you have already changed the world" and I laughed at that "Regis spoke about an alliance that you guys made and I wanted to join since it looks promising" Leon said and I smiled before saying "Well the alliance I made with Regis is gone since we fused out kingdoms to create Vale , but I wanted to form a new one that would unite all the other kingdoms in the world" , Leon thought for a bit before saying "Well first we have to talk about what we can gain from this new alliance you propose".
"Well this alliance be called The United Remnant Alliance and like I said before it will unite all the Kingdom in Remnant. We will share our technology with the world and we will introduce revolutionary systems in the future that are in the process of development , but instead of you guys just hearing about it from your people that come to our kingdom you guys will be able to have them firsthand and help in the development with resources. This alliance will unite us and propel us to a great future as what you guys have been seeing just scratches the surface of what our technology can do. I will tell you more details if you decide to join me and create this new alliance." after hearing me both Leon and Velvet were and started whispering before saying Velvet said "Well for the sake of our people we won't go into just any war you start but for the rest as long as you don't go against our moral code we will help you with all the rest".
After hearing her both me and Salem smiled at that and I said "In this deal there will no border fee for entry to kingdoms in the alliance as it wouldn't benefit us in the long run" and they agree with that , after that Leon said "Well since we're past that , let me be your guide through my beautiful Kingdom" and after we left Salem who had made friends with Velvet just kept talking. Leon was right , his kingdom was indeed beautiful and to my surprise I found that faunus people lived freely and there was little to no discrimination here , and Leon saw my surprise and said "Well don't be surprised , different from that bastard in Solitas I don't see any difference in this people other than the extra members. They are the same as us just with extra parts so I just treat them equally , but it's hard to totally eliminate the thought of superiority from the people's mind so we just try our best".
I smiled at that and said "Leon you are a good man , if you ever need help don't hesitate to ask" and he just looked at me before laughing. After walking around for a bit he took me to a restaurant that he claimed to be "The best one in the whole of Vale" and I had to agree with him has they indeed were good at cooking. As we were eating , Leon having a full plate of meat and many other things and me having the same as my appetite was growing with my body's needs , he asked me "Ozma what is you semblance?" to which I just said while not stopping eating "I don't have one" as we continued eating he said "Then how did you heal me and use that fire in our fight?" and after hearing him I said "Magic" to which he asked me "Magic? What is that?".
I just continued eating before saying "I'll tell you in detail some other day but just so you don't keep bothering me , let's say that with magic I can use any semblance I want" and he stopped eating and looked at me with his eyes wide and said "Really?!" to which I just laughed and didn't answer , him taking that as a yes said "Damn you gotta teach me that" and I just smiled and we continued eating , the food was good so we finished fast and when we came back to his castle it was already night. We found Salem and Velvet had gone into the bath so we waited a bit for them to get out and we went in , it was indeed relaxing like Leon said so we stayed there for a bit before going out and following Velvet to our room. "Huh thanks for letting us stay here" to which she said "No problems , it's our pleasure. Have a good night" and just like that we went to sleep since we were in another person's castle it would be rude to have fun here.
