Chapter 30: Beg The Kitchen God
Mizuki Rei nodded approvingly while Mu Qingqing beamed.
Lilian Mo also nodded to give her acknowledgement.
"I've decided. Jiaojiao, we don't have a medic in the group. In the meantime, if anyone is wounded, we can only rely on resins that are obtained from mutant plants. But it won't do in the long run. Resins are rare and hard to obtain. However, you mentioned that Lin Fang, your brother, is a doctor."
Mizuki Rei immediately got what she was trying to say. He chewed his food rapidly before speaking. "I see. We have three members responsible for offense. Jiaojiao with her barrier ability will be defense and her brother, Lin Fang, for medical support, just like a healer. Amazing. This is like a party in an RPG game." He said excitedly.
"Party..?" Lin Jiaojiao said in confusion.
"Reirei, are we really going to have a party? But why? It will only attract mutants.." Worry was evident in Mu Qingqing's face. Only Lilian Mo understood what Mizuki Rei meant as a party.
She went on to explain. "A party is a game terminology for team. It's a word often used in RPG games at the internet. It is often compromised by players with assigned roles. Most parties in the game are comprised of attackers, defenders, long range support and healers. It varies. One party can be comprised of mostly attackers if their attack value or power is high. But this kind of party is very risky since they would have to put all their luck in attacking and because of the lack of healer in a party, their health is often paid as a price. It's better to have all kinds of roles in a party, to balance it out."
Mizuki Rei did not expect Lilian Mo to know about games. From what Mu Qingqing told him, Lilian Mo was a straight A student and was very focused on her studies. She seemed like a hardworking person who was always busy, never having the time for games.
He couldn't help but grin. "It turns out that even Momo plays games! You look like a decent student but who would have thought that.."
Lilian Mo looked at him as if he was a bug.
"I don't play games but someone taught me how.." She turned to her food.
She was not about to admit that Lu Jingren was the one who taught her. With his lightning ability, producing electricity and using electronics isn't a problem for him. However, that was before. In this life, they have never met.
"Anyway, my explanation isn't hard. You all understand, do you?"
Mu Qingqing nodded. "Momo, I'm an attacker, right? Don't worry! I'll definitely work even harder!"
Lin Jiaojiao also nodded shyly. "Big Sister Mo, I'll also do my best."
"Tch. Tch. With me on the team, you guys don't have to worry about anything." Mizuki Rei said proudly while waving his hand. "As I was saying earlier, Jiaojiao's big brother is a medic. Let's go snatch him and make him a party member!"
Mu Qingqing giggled adorably. "Reirei, don't say 'snatch'! Stealing people is very bad."
"Tch. Mr. Ling has turned into a rogue. Jiaojiao, you must definitely put your guard up against this guy." Lilian Mo warned as she patted the girl's shoulder.
Lin Jiaojiao blushed shyly, glancing at Lilian Mo with a smile. She could smell a faint aroma of strawberries from her savior.
"I'll listen to Big Sister Mo."
Mizuki Rei faked a hurt look. "You three girls, how could you bully the only guy in the team? I'm still older than two years. Momo is only sixteen and so is Qingqing. In terms of age, you should at least show me some respect!"
Lilian Mo calmly stared at him. "Since you claim to be older, you should start making your own meals from now on. Mr. Ling is a responsible and hard working person who would serve as a great role model for younger generation. He would definitely be able to take care of himself as the eldest."
After saying this, Lilian Mo finished her meal and tidied up.
"Mr. Ling will wash the dishes today and for the rest of the week. After you guys are finish, clean up and we'll head out to City B to look for Jiaojiao's brother." She stood up and went to head outside to scout, not waiting for them to respond.
Mu Qingqing and Lin Jiaojiao both finished their meals and also stood up.
"Reirei, I'll wait for you."
"Big brother Rei, thank you."
The two girls left and followed after Lilian Mo.
Mizuki Rei gaped at them before staring at the bowls and plates ahead of him.
He grumbled under his breath and decided to do the task.
'That scary girl is so sensitive! I was only joking!'
How dare he make his own meals? As much as he was jealous of Lilian Mo for always taking his fiancé's attention, her cooking skills were really hard to match and he was already used to eating such good food during the apocalypse.
He only knows how to make instant noodles or fried foods! What did he even know about cooking?
Moreover, as a rich young master, he has never had the chance to cook because the maids in the family would usually do it for him.
He suddenly wants to follow after Lilian Mo.
