Freya wanted to sit down and get back to work.

Just when she was about to pull out her chair, the man asked, "What's your name again?"

Freya was stunned. Was he pretending he did not know her?

Freya answered calmly, "It's Freya Keller, Mr. Carter."

The man nodded. He glanced at her nonchalantly and said, "Carter Group is an understanding company, so we don't punish our employees very seriously for tardiness. Since I ran into you, it is my job to remind you that you have three chances according to the company rules. Once you've been late three times, it's over for you. I already caught you being late for work today, so you probably have one last chance to be late."

Freya lowered her eyes and said respectfully, "Yes, Mr. Carter."

Gideon veered his eyes away and placed his hands in his pant pockets. He said mildly, "Good luck."
