Chapter 60: Was She Scared?

Gideon stood outside the door and knocked a couple of times. Each time, he knocked three times. However, no sound could be heard coming from inside.

The villa had great soundproofing, but it was unlikely the woman could not hear the knocking.

Gideon narrowed his deep dark eyes. He reckoned Freya did not want to talk to him.

The man pulled his hand back and placed it inside his pants pocket. He wanted to say something, but he did not know what to say.

He frowned and after standing outside for ten minutes, he went back to his room.

When Freya heard the man's footsteps disappearing down the corridor, she finally stopped covering her mouth.

She was no longer crying as hard, but she was unable to stop entirely.

She was so upset and terrified that she did not know how long she spent squatting at the door. Her legs were now numb.
