Chapter 38: Unexpected Eye Contact

Freya looked at the man as he spoke in an unfriendly tone. The smile on her face disappeared slightly as she pouted. "My dad doesn't have a bad temper like you."

Gideon cast a cold look at her.

Freya bit her lip. Moments later, she smiled with dimples on her face. "Why don't you take a bite now? The noodles won't taste nice if you eat them cold."

Gideon continued looking at her with a complete disregard for the bowl of noodles in front of him.

Freya's lip-biting advanced to pure gritting of her teeth as she clenched her fists tightly. She looked at the dignified man and did not know what to do.

One minute later, she finally looked at the man and smiled gently. "Mr. Carter… aren't you hungry?"

The cautious look on her face seemed to appease Gideon, so his face finally did not look as stern.

He said, "From now on, you are not allowed to nag me."

"Huh? Okay." Freya nodded obediently.
