Chapter 35: Are You Showing Concern for Me?

Gideon sat with his back straight at the desk in his office.

Freya stood in front of him sheepishly, just like a kid caught red-handed doing something wrong.

The man picked up his teacup and took a sip as he asked, "Tell me. What happened back there?"

Freya asked rhetorically, "Huh?"

Gideon felt that she was acting innocent and found it annoying, but he did not lose his temper. "Why was there a fight at your department?"

Freya muttered, "Weren't you there to see it for yourself and handle it? Why are you asking me this now?"

The man looked irritated. He looked at her frustratedly and shouted, "Freya Keller!"

Freya suddenly smiled at him. "Mr. Carter, I am just an insignificant employee here. If people find out that you can remember my full name, they will misunderstand."

After she smiled, she could sense a burning sensation on her face on the spot that Jennifer had slapped.

Gideon scoffed mockingly.
