Chapter 35: 34
I'm sorry I've not been able to update recently. My phone completely went bad. My laptop is completely damaged so I had to wait until the phone got fixed.

Luke's POV
I stare out the window of my room as I'd been doing for the past few days. Thoughts of never seeing Linda again,the weird faces she'd make, hearing her voice, her laughter which had me smiling, getting lost in those chocolate eyes of hers that had a never ending depth, all flashed through my mind. But she said she never wanted to see me again. She even left her phone with me. I've tried calling at her house but she's just up and disappeared. Her dad won't tell me where she went. God I'm so lost, I don't even know what to do. I sigh deeply as more thoughts of Linda run through my mind.
I hear my door open and suspect my guest to be Jack. I'm proven right when I hear him start his daily mantra. " you know you're a fool right? I mean you're not even trying hard enough to find her. "
" what do you want me to do she doesn't want to be found. I've tried everything, her dad wouldn't even tell me where she is! " I say to him yelling and standing up from my position at the window. " and before you're all up in my case about Linda, how's your search for Esperanza going? " I ask giving him attitude.
I see Jack's eyes burn with anger for only a second and then it's like he's so broken. " not so well. I don't know where she is or how she is? She's got me worried out of my freaking mind. I feel so helpless and I hate it. I hate the fact that I might never see her again. "
I immediately feel bad for bringing it up, I've never seen Jack like this before. Since Linda's birthday he's been acting cool and calm, never letting his emotions come to play but now he just looks lost.
" but you know something really weird, the girls just up and disappeared at the same time. It could only mean that they left together. what's the probability that they are possibly be together? " Jack says as if he just realized something new.
" I already figured out the fact that they'd probably be together. So there's nothing new you're telling me. " I tell him taking my sit back at the window.
" but what if they never come back? " he asks quietly.
I swallow deeply and try to push back any panic I might be feeling. But I can't help but feel that he is right. Jack is right I need to find Linda, I haven't tried hard enough. It's time I gave it my all.
Linda's POV
We walk down the streets quietly, not flowing with the hustle and bustle that is New York, ignoring the stores we are meant to be gawking at. It seems like life has slowed down for us while the whole world ran ahead and left us behind.
Leah is dressed in a chic gown, with glasses covering her swollen eyes. I know she still cries because of Dave, after all she really likes him.
Esperanza dressed in blue jeans and a yellow crop top is her normal self just a bit more quiet. She never mentions anything about Jack and she usually brushes any topic related to him off. She told me that she had actually already started dating him, I guess that makes me the lucky one. I never dated Luke and for some reason it makes my heart clench.
We never realized how much our lives had pretty much started revolving around them, until this feeling of emptiness in our group, at least now we can pretend it never happened. We never happened.
" this is stupid. " I hear Leah mutter angrily. We all stop and stare at her, hoping she'd make us understand what she was trying to say. " I'm tired of letting this control my life. I want a change. Let's stop moping about and actually do something fun. I mean that's why we came here. " she says letting out a teary laugh which makes us laugh as well. " and we really should bankrupt your grandparents while they're trying to make it up to you. " she says making us laugh more.
She pulls I and Esperanza closer together, forgetting that we're wearing heels and could possibly fall and crack our heads open. But then again that's Leah for you. " first of all we need to ditch those body guards. " she whispers to us, pointing to the body guards trying to inconspicuously follow us.
" how " we mouth to her.
" here's how we're gonna do this. " she says telling us her plan in details.
" Bruno! " I call out waiting for the bald guy leading the other four body guards who all look like heavy weight champions.
" yes ma'am "
I look at him with a sour look on my face and tell him boldly, " I am not ma'am, I am Linda. Now do you know where a good restaurant might be? "
He nods and shows us several until we see one that fits our requirements.
We all head in to dine and before we order, we three decide to touch up our make up in the restroom which conveniently, happens to have a backdoor right next to it. But of course we don't really touch up our make up but instead make our way out the door, outsmarting our dear old body guards. We head to the mall and several other shops in New York city. We have the time of our lives shopping for expensive clothes which we want as well as shoes, bags and jewelries. We then head out to some wonderful sites and watch street artistes perform their arts.
When all our activities takes its toll on us, we decide to eat something to quench our hunger.
While sitting outside a little cafe, we talk about all the things girls our age do, hot movie stars, musicians and nonsensical things. As we stand up to go we notice the guards heading toward us from a particular direction and decide to head the opposite way when we notice the four idiots headed our way. Luke, Jack, Dave and Russ.
I am hallucinating right?
