Chapter 3: A day at Fred's house
11-17-1776
It is now Saturday and has been nearly 2 weeks since Lily found out about my secret. Fred and Lily quickly turned friends because of their shared love with books and movies, it didn't take that much time for us three to become close. So we decided to hang out in Fred's room and read some comic books he had, we shared our numbers and text what time we should arrive there. I got up and wore some comfy clothes (a sweater and a slipper).
"Bye mom! Love u, and text me what time dad's coming back"
"Okay sweetie, have fun with Fred and Lily."
We both waved goodbye and I saw Lily waiting for me in front of my house. I ask her she could've just went ahead of me but she told me she wants to go together. She's so adorable and cute. WAIT! it's not weird thinking another girl is cute, WHY AM I MAKING A BIG DEAL OUT OF THIS??!
"Is something wrong Sam?" Lily looks concerned because of my mumbling.
"oh! it's nothing... nothing at all"
Finally arrived at Fred's house, we rang the doorbell and saw his dad welcoming us in. He brought juice and all types of cakes (since Fred's family are bakers).
"Mr. Woods, this is Lily. We recently became friends. And can I ask, where is Fred?"
"Hi Lily, I'm Fred's father, and Sammy no need to be so formal, we already have Fred for that" he laughed "Also Fred's buying some ingredients for dinner, assuming you are eating here?"
I looked at Lily and she nodded "yes, we're gonna eat here. Thank you!"
"Why don't you both look around the house. We have all types of movies and books around"
Lily's eyes glisten and took both Mr. Woods hands "I WORSHIP YOU"
He looked at me and mouthed sending a message "What's happening?" I replied "She's really into those stuff you just said" I smiled with a worry look on my face. Fred finally arrived and gave the ingredients to his dad.
"let's go upstairs" he said.
Lily quickly looked at Fred's collections and I jumped at his bed getting ready to take a nap. "Sammy, why are you sleeping?" he asked. "I didn't get much sleep yesterday because of mom, she made me study for the test and now brain is going haywire." he patted me on my head and I said "your a good man Fred." I then fall asleep.
Lily's POV:
"Hey Fred! Let's watch some movies. Do you like horror?"
"I do, I even have all the series to the konjoring"
While watching it, I looked over at Sammy and get up to slide myself into the bed. I tap Fred's shoulder and ask him to lay his head beside me so I can play with his hair.
"You have really soft hair. What product do you use?"
"I use XXXX brand."
The room went silent but the only thing you can hear is the movie and our breathing. I got sleepy and slept beside Sam while holding on to Fred's hair.
Fred's POV:
What shall I do in this situation? Both of them are asleep and me finishing the movie. I properly cover the blanket so both of them won't get cold, since the air was chilly that day. I grabbed an extra mattress from the storage room and quietly set it up beside the bed. We all slept deeply.

I woke up finding myself near the wall. I sat up and it was Lily beside me and Fred sleeping on the floor. I look at the time and it was already 5pm. 3hrs. have passed since we got here. I slowly got up and went downstairs, so I won't wake them both up. I saw Fred's parents making dinner for us and I thank them sincerely. I offered to help making dinner but they said two people are enough and I should just go back to sleep and they will wake us up when it's time for dinner, but I was already too awake to go back to sleep so I instead went upstairs, lay beside Lily and played with my phone.
"What are playing there?"
"oh, sorry did I wake you?"
"no, it's alright... Can I hold your hand?"
"Yeah sure, but why?"
"I want to see if you can take out your claws"
"I can but Fred's here and I haven't told him yet."
"Why? I thought you were best friends"
"We are, it's just... I don't really know what type of reaction he'll have when he finds out I'm not a human being, instead I'm a werewolf."
Lily comforted me with a hug and told me it's okay to feel like that and it is your decision if you decided to tell him or not. I hugged her back and we both embrace as we shared our warmth, the she told me "how about we talk about Frederick's new series?" to take my mind off about the last topic.
As we shared our interest to one another, Fred woke up from the noise and he then joined in to the conversation. Mrs. Woods told all of us to come down now because it's time to eat. We shared laughs and as the sun grew dimmer, it's already night time. We thanked them for welcoming us and I told Fred I'll text when we got to our houses to not worry him. Lily and I said our goodbyes and I walk her through to her house.
"This is my stop"
"Say hi to your parents for me"
"Hey Sam... you can talk to me if there's anything bothering you"
"Thanks but I'll figure it out when I feel like it"
I saw her going through her door and she said "see you soon". I reply with a nod and I proceed to walk to my home. I stared at the moon as if someone is looking over me, and tears suddenly broke down and there I found myself scrunch up with my hand to my knees tearing up. What does this mean? Do these tears have any meaning? I thought long hard and deep and the only thought that came to mind is HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO KEEP THIS DAMN SECRET!!
I'm tired of hiding and lying to my friends, I want to show the world who I really am. Just because I am different from them doesn't mean we aren't the same in nature. They expect to lead a clan I have no emotional relations to, a clan where I have to inherit when I turn 18... what type of bullcrap is that?! I'm only a child for christ sakes! My childhood filled with harsh training and force mentality to overcome my fears. But I have no choice do I? because when you can't take over the responsibilities the past leader gave you, you are replaced... meaning you are to be killed.
I walked in silence, feeling empty, but remembering Lily's words gived me the courage to deal with it and learn on how to better the clan I'm inheriting in the near future. More importantly, I now have someone I can talk to and confide myself with but I should learn on how to do it by myself and not depend too much in her.
I finally got home, I saw my mom waiting at the porch for dad to come home. Eventually he did but it was nearly morning and mom was deeply angry. The house is in chaos once again, but of course they made up because of dads duty to the clan for his family(us), mom understood but she still needed his comfort from time to time. My life is not perfect but I'm glad there are people who love and cares for me as much as I do to them.
