Chapter 48: Chlea's Sister, Sierra

"What is the reason for your sudden… should I say, recherché visit?" Dad joined his hands together forming like a triangle with it.

"I want to know some updates about my engagement." I straightaway spat making Dad flabbergasted.

Dad removed his pair of eyeglasses. "Hmm. The engagement, you were asking? Well, we have been planning about it but the other party seemed to be having problems with their son. Why do you ask?" 

I sat down on the empty chair near his table. "I wonder what is taking them so long, I want the wedding to take place sooner."

Dad carefully scanned my face, utterly in disbelief with what I just said. At first, he looked as if I was spitting some sort of nonsense. But later that day, I heard him make a phone call which I presume to be about the engagement.
