Chapter 9: taboo
"so long..." Sora said as he and Jenny walked through an almost endless desert, the heat didn't bother them. they both absorbed the heat, leading to the area they passed freezing over, it has been over a month since Sora and Jenny's near-death experience, they had reached the peak of the mountain and found themselves falling into a desert.
"sigh, if I knew where the entrance to the deeper levels was, I could teleport use there," Jenny said softly, Sora sighed softly before he looking a demon-like bird that was calmly looking at them. it had lifeless eyes and was calmly following them
{Name: Satan Bird (these birds are ruthless hunters, they would follow their targets and wait for them to grow weak before they eat them alive. they are called Satan Birds because of this fact, they have been known to draw powerful monsters towards their target, and wait for each side to weaken each other. because their beak is weak, they useless beat through the butt hole, or eyes while their target is alive.
be careful when near them, as they are known to throw up what they have eaten. its smell is strong enough to kill, and the acid has been known to burn through metal.}

"We might have a problem," Sora said softly as he saw countless of these birds slowly gathering, all looking straight at them. they were extremely far away, yet they could clearly see each other.
"... run," Jenny said seriously, this was the first time they saw a monster with the appraisal skill, they quickly ran off, but seconds later the ground shook. Sora and Jenny turned around and saw a 5 desert warm rushing towards them. by huge, i meant huge, this thing made a blue whale look small.

"damn it, it has earth power," Jenny said with a frown, Earth POwer allowed one to draw power from the earth, allowing them to grow stronger the longer they touch the ground, Sora calmly turned around and watched Jenny pull out an arrow. the arrow shot through the air, and shot through the warm head, killing it.
Jenny shot the next arrow at the tail, and the face on the war head suddenly disappeared and reappeared on its tail. but it was hit by the arrow, killing it. Jenny, looked at the birds, her teeth gritted even more seeing these things were not leaving and we're still allowing at them with their soul-less eyes.
"what's the problem?" Sora asked in confusion
"I'm not scared of them, I'm afraid of something they can call. dessert ants, there are billions of them, with the weakest being around 500. with such numbers, will be tried out" She said softly, Sora's lips twitched slightly at the numbers he was hearing. Sure they had powerful armor, but it took energy to use them, otherwise, they will be high-quality weapons.
"sounds like XP, leave them to me. I'm their perfect counter," Sora said with a smile, Jenny froze slightly before nodding. Sora was their perfect counter, he was absorbed eating to return to his peak, plus he will return to his peak upon leveling up. there was also his spell which allows Sora to create an ocean of flames that burns everything.
Sora crossed his arms, and soon he saw endless waves of ants heading toward them. the satan birds all flew up, not wanting to fight these ants. these ants were considered th overlords here, their huge numbers made it so that even the strongest of people would avoid them. this was because teamwork greatly boosted the powerlevel. one can have the power of 100, yet bring down someone twice as strong as them through pure teamwork, not adding a combined attack
teamwork pretty much added a person's powerlevel together, but combined attacks is not simply added together, the attack fusions. so two attacks from two people with a powerlevel of 100, could show the power up to 500. how about a billion?

Sora stepped forward, and instantly all the heat around him gathered to form countless heat clones, this will greatly reduce the amount of magical energy he is using since he is using something that already exists. Sora stepped forward fore he slowly disappeared as if he was an afterimage, Sora had mastered the body flicker, and he can perfectly use it without any tunnel vision.
Sora suddenly appeared before the ants with a burning hot sword, the ants although could work together, Sora was too fast, their defease shattered and Sora's sword slash cut through the wave of ants, but the ants in the back acted quickly forming barriers which blocked the attack
Sora moved leaving after images all over the place which attacked the ants, the ants were confused about how after images were attacking them. the clones attack the after images, but their attacks went through them, this confused the ants but they didn't stop attacking and more and more quickly release those that have fallen. they were tired of eating each other to survive, they had to kill or else.
Sora and his clones, and after images began slaughtering left and right, no matter how same the XP, it was still a lot. 1 XP will quickly add up at the rate he was killing. but he was not gaining such a small amount of XP per kill, these ants were not that weak and were given an alright amount.
n a few minutes, Sora leveled up to level 21. in about an hour, he reached level 22, and so time went by 1 month of Sora fighting billions of ants went by. Sora stood there, covered in blood that didn't belong to his own while looking at the countless drops all over him. like that, Sora had slaughtered over a billion ants without taking a single stretch,

{New title. Taboo. you have committed s skin which is frowned upon by the world, the world will see you as an evil being} Sora frowned at this title, they were just ants. shrugging, he looked at his statues for a form a month of battle none stop.

there was a time when Sora got bored and wanted to give up, yet he powered through this allowing him to level up his undying willpower. Sora also made Sora use a lot of his skills, which in return allowed him to greatly level them all up.
"my powerlevel almost doubled," Sora said with a smile, he didn't level up a raging will because he will leave him tried, after using it. but everything else was good.
"and I found the way to the next dungeon area," Jenny said with a smile, Sora nodded as they set off towards it.
"you know that titles you got... the world has its own rules, so I guess you killing to just get XP broke them, the ants fought for food and you fought for leveling up... I'm sorry, I should have remembered this sooner. Taboo is one of the few titles that can level up, meaning the more evil you do the greater the level it be. those who evolve this title always go mad or something like that." She said softly,
"I don't care about such stuff, I will raise my undying willpower before it levels up. the stronger my willpower, the better right?" Sora asked with a smile, Jenny froze slightly before nodding\
"Undying Willpower is gained when a person's mind refuses death, you did this when you were in that state. you were just a step away from dying, but returning. The first demon king had this ability, he evolved to Asura's Wrath. his willpower created a new skill, allowing his pure rage to strengthen him over and over. the anger he got the stronger he grew, so much so that even when he managed to kill him, he still lived on through the demons." She said softly,
"what made him so angrily?" Sora asked calmly, Jenny sighed softly
"a god got drunk and raped his wife and daughter, to hide his action he killed them. when Asura found out, his rage almost destroyed the realm of gods. so they cast him out, once you level up your undying willpower, your willpower will be able to affect the world around you. his was at level 10, the whole realm was going shatter. we didn't know the story then, but he was going to destroy everything around so the gods had to fight him, yet his rage led to the undying willing power to evolve into Asura's Wrath.." She said softly,
"the battle almost destroyed the god realm, yet the god's secret weapon managed to badly injure him sending him into the void. but even then, his rage only grew, and affected the void and created the demon realm. upon round two, we all knew what happened yet Asura was swallowed by rage to listen to anything. he killed many gods, one of them being the one who cause this whole mess, but at that point, his rage was not set on one god, but all of them. from day one, Asura never acted like a god but more like a human, so his losing himself to his rage was not shocking. so the secret weapon of the gods moved and this time killed him." She said softly
"yet even when he died, his rage killed. from his body demons were born holding hatred towards the gods which was passed down through their blood. although their hatred had down out over the millions of years." She said softly, Sora nodded slightly before asking about this secret weapon
"I don't know, but I heard something about summoning someone from heaven to help. it seems like there is a higher power out there, capable of killing beings with a powerlevel of a million and above with 1 attack, quite scary. they killed Asura and Tiamat. two of the most powerful demon lords to ever walk this world." She said with a smile, Sora nodded slightly as he fell into deep thought.
"Is there a hell?" Sora asked softly, Jenny instantly froze before looking at Sora seriously,
"I don't know how you know that place, but you most never speak of it so freely. if another god heard you say that, they would kill you on the spot. I don't know what's so shocking about hell, but there seems to be a monster sealed away down there." She said seriously, Sora nodded calmly
'and here I thought the fallen one was Lucifer, yet it's this guy name Asura. so is Lucifer the guy in hell or want?' Sora thought with a smile
