Chapter 146: A bridesmaid's duties

Eve was proud to say that she, na-bots, and everyone else involved in two-day-long wedding preparations outdid themselves. The preparation itself was half of the fun. Of course, there was no way to make it a classical pompous wedding with dozens of guests and white everywhere, the kind that required repetitions, but it was for the best.

Eve was a firm believer that if a celebration required repetitions, it wasn't a celebration anymore, no matter what its reason.

On the clearing next to the cabin, na-bots built an arch for the wedding isle out of twigs and branches. The leaves on the branches and the wild flowers that na-bots found in the forest were a simple, but beautiful decoration.

They also brought the table out of the cabin, the table that now was overflowing with all sorts of dishes—everything that the forest, the scavenging, and the vegetables their guests brought with them could produce.
