" What do you think your doing , we needed him alive " , Gilliard shouted .
" He was going to die any way he was on his last breath , I just put him out of his sorrow " , Miles replied .
" We could have healed him back , I was tasked to find out where he got that Mana crystal from , do you know what you've just done , what if there was more of that Mana crystal somewhere , that would have immensely benefited the kingdom but you've killed the only person who could have told us where more of those Crystals are " , Gilliard shouted .
" oh , so there was a hidden mission for you , let me ask you one question , is that information more valuable than our life , would you risk the life of your men just to get that information , the kid did no wrong infact if I was in the same spot I would have done the same thing than to heal that monster back and risk the lives of my men " , Bucky joined in on the conversation .
" Of course I'll risk my life and my men would also do the same for the growth of the kingdom it is their sworn oat..... " , Gilliard was still speaking when he was caught of by Bucky .
" Listen pal , we don't have any sworn oath or whatever that tells us to risk our necks for informations that can benefit the kingdom , unlike you knights we adventurers are just warriors trying to survive and provide for our family , if I die today who's gonna take care of my family , Is it the kingdom whose going to fed them ? , Bucky asked .
" yeah you can't just expect us to risk our life just for some information " .
" Look pal I came yeah to earn some gold coins not to be some kind of hero of the kingdom " .
" Haven't we done enough already " .
Gilliard hearing the comments of the adventurers knew he had to keep his mouth shut if not he might become public enemy number 1 , stealthly moving away from the angry mob Gilliard sent a message to Eleanor that the mission was completed through a Magical item before taking care of the thousands of littered bodies laying on the battle field .
Will the adventurers and knights headed back to Merveran city Miles went through all the messages he received when he killed the goblin king .
' what the heck demon energy , is that by any chance related to the Demon race , wait a minute was that the strange bloob thing that flew out of the goblin king , could that have been where that added 300,000 might came from ' , Miles thought .
' But the Demon race have been extinct for a thousand years and their leader has been trapped so how the hell was the goblin king able to acquire that power , could it be that where he found the Obsidian crystal he also got the power from their , it was really a good decision to kill him imagine what would have happened if the kingdom tried to get more Obsidian crystal and ended up freeing the Demon king , the kingdom would be in ruins if that happened ' .
' I indirectly saved the lives of millions of people but still my name will remain unsung , what a lonely live of a hero ' , Miles thought drowning in pride .
' Now what's this about a breakthrough quest ? ' , Miles asked .

' Is it to late to change this crazy system ' , Miles thought as he stared out of the moving wargon .
[ you do know that I heard that right ? ]
Miles didn't answer the system obvious question and kept staring out the window .
Gilliard didn't want the simple argument over the goblin Kings death to strain the relation of the kingdom with a self thought genius like Miles , Miles was already at the peak of the B rank and he was self taught , if he was thought by one of the S rank mentor of the royals , the kingdom might just have another S rank warrior in the hands of the royals which will increase thier power , S rank warriors where so rare that in the whole kingdom of tens of millions of people their where only a little over 20 S rank warriors with the royals having 13 of them under their control , so if Miles couldn't become an S rank existent that would be another S rank warrior under the royals , so he decided to butter him up by listing all the things he could gain from the royals by swearing loyalty to them.
Siting right beside Miles Gilliard intiated a conversation with him .
" You know you did really good back there , you are one of the reason why we didn't lose a member , am sorry if I snapped at you for killing the goblin king I guess I was just stressed you actually did no wrong " , Gilliard said .
Miles stared at Gilliard and wondered what he was planning , he knew the information the goblin king had was valuable and was probably the reason why the royals sent it's knights to a city far away from the capital like Merveran .
" No , it's okay I understand " , Miles replied .
After apologizing Gilliard decided to strike will the iron was hot .
" I noticed that your sword skills and body movements where not up to standard , we have lots of sword master who can teach you advanced skills , and with the resources we give to young warriors you can easily become a peak A rank warrior , if you train hard enough you can even become an S rank warrior , and not to mention the if you become one of the kingdoms warriors you would immediately become a noble and be given enough money to make you and your family life happily for the rest of your lives" , Gilliard said .
Miles knew his sword techniques wasn't that good , the system only increased his strength and didn't do any thing about his sword skills , but he was steadily becoming better step by step , he wasn't to bothered by becoming a S rank warrior because he knew in time he would become a powerhouse but the nobility title was tempting to him , his father was just a hunter and his mother was just a house wife , if he had the nobility title his family would automatically become nobles and not to mention all the benefits he would receive just for the title alone .
But still he didn't want to swear allegiance to the royal family , in time he would be strong enough to stand toe to toe with the strongest warriors so he saw no reason to work under anybody , and besides with how fast he was becoming strong money wasn't going to be an issue to him or his family .
" Am not really Keen on doing that now , am still young and I just want to explore the world " , Miles said .
Although Gilliard wanted to still convince him but he realised Miles wasn't going anywhere and would one day grow up and decide to join to the royals for protection , after all the nobles could be very trouble some for lone warriors and might even go as far as to threaten his family so he wasn't worried .
" Okay , if you ever change your mind just send me a message " , Gilliard said before heading back to his spot .
Bucky seeing this couldn't help but curse Gilliard , Eleanor had known that something like this would happen so she gave him a mission to make sure he reported back what ever happened , ever since he was able to destroy a goblin encampment with a goblin general solo , and easily at that without any prior training and even having affinity with four elements she had decided to nurture him to become one of the pillars of the guild and she would definitely not allow any one to take her diamond in the rough from her .
It didn't take long before they reached Merveran city and the adventurers went to collect their pay and turn in their adventurers batch to be updated will Bucky went to the guild leaders office to report his secret mission .
" So your telling me he tried to rope a member of my guild into the hands of the royals " , Eleanor confirmed what she heard .
" Yes mam " , Bucky replied .
" It will seem that little brat as grown wings and no longer respects me any more " , Eleanor said speaking to no one in particular.
" Anyways let's forget about that , how is your break through coming along " , Eleanor asked .
" Have been training every day and I can feel the barrier between the peak of B rank and A rank becoming thinner and thinner by the day , at this rate I ought to break through in about a year or so " , Bucky replied .
Bucky has been at the peak of B rank for two years now trying to break through to become an A rank warrior and within a year or so he would have broken into the rank .
Bucky left the guild leaders office will Gilliard stepped into her office , immediately he stepped into her office he was assaulted by a strong wave of aura which made him sweat even though it was a chilly afternoon.
' Oh , no I think she found out ' , Gilliard thought looking at the frowning Eleanor .
