Chapter 172: E: Face to Face

Elektra had felt oddly triumphant as she had stepped into place behind the King and Queen three days ago.

She had been the one standing there watching the transfer as a full fledged corporate head. SkyWater was no longer a tiny outer sector corporation either. It had now held its place within the top ten corporations for a decade and a half.

Her triumph had not been dimmed by the fact that she had officially been waiting there to receive members of her corporation who had been lost a decade ago, including the former corporate head. 

Even the sight of her stepdaughter taking her place as the new Queen had only filled her with wry amusement. The young woman that she had once disparaged had disembarked with poise, and the transfer had been completed far more quickly than Elektra had expected.
