Chapter 151: D: Forever

Corso Donatella had not quite expected to ever wake up again when he had let the medical unit put him to sleep. 

It had seemed like the best bet out of his remaining options after SkyWater's freighter had been destroyed. Losing their final shipment from the Cinder Sector wouldn't quite be enough to destroy the corporation he had built, but it would set them back heavily. 

Losing him would have ended SkyWater a few years ago. But if Elektra could learn to cooperate with Rafaela, he would bet on the two of them being able to succeed in sustaining the corporation, despite its losses.

The massive impact had hit them, without any warning alarms having gone off, and destroyed SkyWater's final shipment of water from the Cinder Sector. At first Corso had assumed that one of the rival Corporations, that had taken down the Donatella family's previous holdings, had finally targeted him in a more direct fashion. It was nearly a decade after their last indirect attempt.
