Chapter 2: Chapter One
[P.O.V. Jared Woods]
It has been four hundred and fifty-nine years since my father and mother, along with others, took back the lands and rebuilt the kingdoms. Now my twin brother Riley and I have to take over the throne and rule the kingdom. The tricky part about this is which one of us? And how are the council members going to decide? I guess I will find out when they announce it this coming week. What happening this coming week? Different princes and princesses and all kinds of guests will be coming this week to the four hundred and the sixtieth-year annual festival.
What is this festival? Ever since the kingdoms were rebuilt. My father, the higher king, made this festival in honor to celebrate those that have fought and died in the last war. The festival lasts about a week, and on the last day of the festival is the day the war was won all those years ago, and on that day, we celebrate like no other. Another thing about the day of the festival is also my twin and I birthday.
I'm not really a party person. I'm more of a guy that likes to read in libraries and work on my strength. And by strength, I mean my body. So I'm not really excited about this festival. It's not the only reason I also haven't found my mate yet, and when I see some of my friends with theirs, it makes me crave for mine. Looking out the window, I watch as guests come from other kingdoms. Come through the castle gates to join this year's festivities.
"My prince, you're Mother wishes to see you down in the throne room." My butler Javier tells me.
Looking back towards him, my Uncle Milo was standing next to him. After the war, the triplets that protected my mother were resigned. Shiloh stayed as my mother's bodyguard. Gilo became my twin bodyguard, and Milo became mine. Even though he's not related to me in any way, I grew up calling all three of them Uncle.
"Tell her I will be down in a minute." Telling him.
"Of course, your highness." Javier leaves at once.
"Do I have to go this year?" Asking Milo.
"I'm afraid so. You know how your mother can be if you don't show." Giving a deep heavy sigh, we leave to the throne room.
Entering the throne room, an older woman with long black hair and light tan skin. Wearing a beautiful dark blue dress, she stood in the throne room. This woman was Adriana Woods, also known as the higher queen and my mother. Standing next to her was an older gentleman that looked just like Milo but bigger body build. This man was known as Shiloh, my mother's bodyguard and Milo's brother. Shiloh says something to my mother, and she looks back and smiles at me.
"Jared, my darling son, you look dashing." My mother compliments.
"Thank you, Mother." I thank her. "Where is Father?"
"He's outside talking to some old friends he hasn't seen in a while."
"I see... and where is my twin?"
"That I do not know, I have told Gilo to bring him here at once, but it seems that Riley is somewhere else at the moment, and Gilo is looking for him." She doesn't sound too happy that Riley wasn't here already. I couldn't blame her for in twenty minutes my father will be starting the festival and all its festivities. And as his sons, we both have to be there along with my mother. "Will you use your twin bond, my darling, and let him know?"
"Of course." Telling her. Using my twin bond and mind link, I let Riley know about what time it was. And as much as I love my twin, I kind of wished that at this very moment, I didn't have to. Only for the fact when I used the twin bond, I knew what he was up to.
[P.O.V. Riley Woods]
Holding up a woman against a blossomed tree while my erected member was in her slick folds, I fuck her hard. I'm not much for romantic scenery, and when I want a woman, I go after her until I make her mine. Unless she married or mated, of course, then I leave those women alone. I do this respectfully as I can. I might be a huge playboy, but I do have respect for my women. Do I have a mate? No, I don't have a mate. If I did, I'm sure that I wouldn't be such a woman chaser. And I also don't hold my breath waiting for her. That difference between Jared and me. He is the romantic, responsible, and smart one out of us two. In comparison, I am the typical irresponsible playboy that doesn't believe in romance. But just because he and I are opposites, that doesn't mean we're not close. Because we actually are, my twin Jared is my best friend, and I am his.
"Riley, where the hell are you? It's almost time to start the festival." Jared says through our twin mind link. Looking at the watch on my wrist, I realized he was right.
"I will be there in a minute." Telling him back. I pick the paste-up and fuck my mistress even harder. Until we both reached our climax.
Fixing my suit, my mistress Lexi was straightening her dress out. The reason I call her my mistress is because she is the girl I fuck the most.
"Will I see you later, your highness?" Lexi asks
"I don't know. Maybe you will, and maybe you won't." Telling her bluntly. She grabs my hand and gives me that look she gives when she wants something. "Don't give me that look; you know that I don't promise things that I can't keep."
"Then make me your princess, and then you can make me that promise."
"We have had this discussion before. I will not make you my princess, for you are not the one I want to mate to. You are only a good time, and that is it. I told you if you can't handle that, then we need to go our separate ways." She had the look of hurt and let go of my hand. Grabbing her arm and pulling close with our chests almost touching, I look into her sky blue eyes.
"Lexi, just because I won't make you my princess doesn't mean I don't care for you because I do care for you." Tucking a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear.
"Yes, but not enough to make me your princess."
"No." Why does she do this? she knows I won't lie or make her hope on anything I can't give her. She moves away from me.
"I understand." With that said, she leaves. Feeling frustration, I take a deep breath and let it out, and then I take my leave to meet my family.
Looking at my watch, I only had a few minutes before the festival begins. Stepping up my pace, I get to the event arena in time. The event arena is where different events for the different kingdom citizens can show off their strength and other abilities. In today's event, some of the finest warriors will be battling each other and different creatures. Of course, there will be different events besides what's going on in the arena for those that don't find the arena entertaining. Getting to the event arena there an older man stood. He was tall, black hair with a little silver, white skin, green eyes, and a body well built for his age looks at me. He wore a nice suit with a silver and white tie. He also wore a crown upon his head.
"Next time you want to fuck your little mistress, please make sure you do it twenty minutes ahead of time so that you can still do your duties as the prince and fix your damn tie." My father says.
"Does Mother know that I was with her?" Asking him. My mother disapproves of my playboy behavior. But she also knows she can't stop me. Because of this, she has asked me to stay away from Lexi. Mainly because my mother doesn't trust her and thinks Lexi wants the crown.
"No, and you better not tell her. You know how your mother feels about your plaything."
"Of course Father."
"Now, let's go sit in our seats before your mother comes looking for us." Nodding my head, we take our seats in the arena bleachers.
I'm glad it was my father who was waiting for me as much as I love and respect my mother. My father, Jared, and I have a connection that we all share. Our Father is the kind of man we can come to about anything. He always has our backs when it comes to difficult prince situation. I mean that he supports and guides us the best he can in any decision my brother and I make.
