It seems she's the strongest on the planet. Once I defeat her it should be rather easy to get the Angel forces under control.
She swung her sword downward at me. The sword was coated with mana but to be honest it wasn't that dangerous to me. However this seems like a good chance to feel out the spear I just got.
I took out the spear from my inventory and used it to block the sword. The sword struck the handle and a loud clang echoed out. I definitely need to practice using this cause I really don't know how to wield this spear.
The Angel's face curved into a grin after she pulled back her sword. Then she spoke
"I knew it, when you blocked my blow I felt that your strength was weak and by the looks of it you don't have much skill. It seems I was right. You must of used some dirty trick to beat the guardian. After all he was a fellow fighter of evil."
She was saying all this but I was ignoring her. I was too busy trying to figure out the best way to use the spear. I had not unlocked any of the skills yet so the only thing I had was my magic and the spear itself. Wait, I have an idea. Is it possible to use soul boost on other objects or people other then myself?
'It's possible but the backlash afterward will be greater. Also the person or object has to be compatible with souls. In the case of your spear it would work as the spear is connected to you as your weapon.'
Alright, let's give it a shot.
Soul Boost!
I don't know if it worked but let's start fighting to find out.
I thrusted my spear right at her and she attempted to block it aside however when she tried her weapon simply bounced off. A look of surprise flickered across her face but it disappeared quickly.
We continued to trade blows for a about a minute as I continued to test the effect of the soul boost. I found that the soul boost increased the sharpness, durability, and the power the weapon uses. This might be useful in a situation where I have to rely on my weapon. However it's time to stop playing around. This is getting boring. It was a little amusing to see the Angel lady think she was winning though. Now it's time to change that.
I back away from her and put away the spear into my inventory.
"I guess it's time to get serious." I said.
"Hah, if you haven't gotten serious maybe this can actually count as a warm up." She laughed.
"Prepare yourself."
Let's try another experiment shall we? Don't try this at home kids.
This time I want to test what's better for soul beams. One stronger soul or a bunch of weak souls. I charged up a soul beam in each hand. One had a soul who's power level was 700 when he was alive. The other beam had a bunch of weak souls who power level added up to 700. Let's see what's better.
I shot the Soul beam with the weaker souls at the Angel. She didn't even attempt to dodge and took it head on. How arrogant is she? Well it's good for me because it's means I can conduct my experiment properly.
She was confident until the beam hit her and she started screaming in pain. However once the beam was finished she looked very weak and exhausted. She was injured all over. To be honest I am surprised she survived that. Let me say something real quick. If I use a soul with a power level of 700 for a soul beam that does not mean the attack is equivalent to the attack of someone with 700 power level. My soul beam spell extracts the power level from the soul and transforms it into an energy that can be fired. I decided to call the energy mana. During the transformation process some of my own mana from my body is injected into the other mana and fired along with it. This strengthens the power to make it even stronger. So that makes it two that when the beam is fired it is stronger then the soul originally was.
"I am surprised you survived that. I guess it's good that I got a second beam for you." I said
Her face paled " One day you will be defeated, one day you wi—"
"Alright shut up, time to die."
I shot my other soul beam at her and she cursed me as she died. I don't need anyone like her and I hope I don't meet anyone like her again. Now that's done its time to show the Angels who's in charge. I flew in the direction of the city.
*In a nearby Universe*
A man paced in his throne room in a castle. He had been lucky and survived an encounter with another guardian who was so strong for someone who had just evolved their universe. The man was holding a communication device but seemed hesitant to use it.
Eventually he made up his mind and activated it.
"What do you want." Said a voice from the device.
"Brother, I ran into some trouble that I need your help with. A new guardian showed up and took out both the Angel and the demon. As a basic level universe you are the only one who I know can help me." The man said
"I'm sure you know the cost of my help?" The voice replied.
"I know, you get to absorb all of his universe and I will give you a low grade item." The man said bitterly
"Heh heh, it's good to know that you still know who's in charge. Alright, I gotta finish something up but once I'm done I will make my way over to help you." The voice chuckled and then hung up.
The man sighed then stared at the device before a smile came across his face.
"I almost feel bad for him. He just upgraded and will now be taken out. Too bad for him."
The man started laughing as it echoed across the room.
