Chapter 16: The First of Face-Off
Ayensi raised an eyebrow. He repeated.
"Tell, what wish do I have? Even if You're THE God, if You just say that I still have a desire just because You will it, it still wouldn't be mine."
The old man replied.
"Except I, everyone lives for the sake of living."
"I know, the most self-centered of all things, life. Living for itself. I have now achieved immortality, therefore, I have achieved the purpose of life. I don't have the desire to procreate nor fill my stomach. I have transcended human consciousness." Ayensi continued the Creator's high contextual words.
"Indeed..." the old man nodded, "however, you're not just a living being, you're Ayensi Sole Tiowen."
"I'll take that as praise. And to argue with your words, being an immortal is also Ayensi Sole Tiowen's desire." Ayensi strongly said, "You may say that I didn't kill myself because that's not the way of life and following the way of life is reasoning and when one relies on reasons, they don't have free will. However, not killing myself is not because of nature, it's because I still want to live."
"You're pessimistic." the old man commented.
"That's what being realistic means."
"That's why I gave humans senses, Ayensi."
Hearing that, Ayensi learned the Creator's intent.
"I know that. Humans are blinded by their eyes, deafened by their ears, numbed by their skin... So You when you said humans, You didn't mean that I learn more about them. You're saying... I will play dumb?"
The old man subtly smiled.
"Exactly"
To this, Ayensi smiled and agreed.
"Sure, but from the very start, it's not like I have any chance to defeat You anyway. No matter how powerful I can be, it will be too far from omnipotence. No matter how fast, still too far from omnipresence. Meaning, I could only obey to know what You to happen."
"Good" the old man nodded once again when Ayensi suddenly attacked.
His whole body shifted, trying to break infinite space between the two of them. Feeling as if he could reach the old man, Ayensi raised his right arm with his hand clawing its way. However, no matter how fast he is, infinite space is still infinite space.
But Ayensi did not stop.
"You little shit, trying to get almighty in front of ME!"
Vulgar words abruptly came out of Ayensi's mouth as if he just lost his civilized state earlier. However, his face suggested he's having fun.
"I have longed for this! HAHAHAH!" his face became hysterical and darkened as he turned into a sinister creature.
"Time is irrelevant for us right now! If you don't kill me now, there will be no next time! You have seen the beginning and the end, the edges of everlasting!
What do You want?
What did You see?
What will happen?
I can only know once I replace you!"
Ayensi's eerie face leaned forward. He looked down at THE God.
"If You killed me now, I will never fulfill what You want. If You don't kill me, what can!? I'm an immortal! Give me an infinite amount of time and I am sure to rise up above You!"
The old man just looked at him indifferently, before the former raised his wrinkly arm, slapping Ayensi's clawing hand away, surpassing infinite space as if it was nothing.
The impact wasn't that notable. However, it made Ayensi so frail that just from his arms being slapped away, from his arm to half of his torso, they were blown away like ashes blown by a soft breeze.
This didn't stop Ayensi. In an instant, his lost body parts came back along with his clothing.
"Come on, let's try this in a normal place." his smile was still as wide and evident as ever. He was holding back the excitement he was feeling.
"A normal place would've broken with that slap of mine." the old man's appearance began turning illusive.
"Yes, that would be fun."
Without waiting for the Creator's response, Ayensi changed the location himself.
As if time went back. However, no life could be felt anywhere. There are only celestial bodies and the laws of the universe.
The old man disappeared but a planet and hit Ayensi.
A whole planet!
However, compared to before, this was nothing. Ayensi seemed to have dropped onto the planet's atmosphere like a meteor. And when he landed on the ground, he did not stop.
His meteor-like fall continued, creaking down the fragile ground and into the planet's fiery inner core then coming out to the other side as if nothing happened.
Ayensi, who pierced a planet by just standing still raised an eyebrow.
"Is that suppose to be called an attack?" he felt like yawning.
As if replying to his question, a star that was a million times larger than that planet before came like a supreme giant.
Ayensi only batted an eye.
"Don't be silly." he waved his hand as if he was swatting a fly.
The result, however, was devastating. Not just a crack but the whole stellar entity broke to pieces as fearsome solar energy radiated. Its own gravity tried to keep it intact but the force destroying it was greater.
Ayensi was about to say something again but an almighty force struck him in his belly that instantly burned off a layer of his skin.
The residual wave of that impact cleaned the breaking star, weeping it away like a cloud of dust in the cosmos.
Meanwhile, Ayensi was thrown away by an ungodly distance, coincidentally hitting multiple celestial bodies on the way!
Traveling faster than light a thousand times while still being intact, instead of him, it was the laws of space that broke, thus bending.
Nearby cosmic objects were unable to abide by the bending of space and were destroyed on the process.
If one can see the whole observable universe in one picture, they will see a streak of a bright line which was filled with exploding stars. At the end of this line was Ayensi who didn't need a pause to recover from that attack.
