Chapter 73: Request To Follow

He stood in the middle of the room with his hands deep in his pockets. He has forgotten that Jess was never the type of girl he could tell or even slightly suggest what to do. She does what she wants and when she wants - and only she can decide how she wants it! 

Just like before he just screwed up a perfectly fine night. He kept his mouth shut. He knew that apologizing would just make everything worse than already is. And to think he wouldn't be able to see her for days!

He wanted to just grab her and kissed her pursed lips, but he knew the probability of getting a slap was high on that one. The last time he pissed her off, she threw him on the cold floor of his penthouse.

"Sorry," she averted her eyes after saying an unexpected apology. 

Noah just squinted his eyes at her. He didn't want to open his mouth just in case he said something wrong - again!
