Chapter 63: Don't You Trust Me?

First it was the music festival. Then it was picking up extra shifts for Mike to make up for being gone Mother's Day weekend. Then it was two back-to-back gigs. Then it was his uncle's birthday.

Eden was fairly certain Troy was avoiding her at this point. But why? He still talked to her pretty much every day! Why would he put off seeing her again when he took the time and effort to call her when it was easier to text?

She was so embarrassed about what happened that she didn't even tell Aubrey…until the Truth or Dare portion of her bachelorette party when it all came pouring out of her like a flood. Almost everyone else was three sheets to the wind at this point so by the time she finished her story, only Aubrey and Jennifer were listening. Even Carrie had fallen asleep partway through.

"He has to be in a relationship," Jennifer said bluntly. "I can't think of any other reason he wouldn't at least tell you his last name."
