I was so so tired that i couldn't even feel my legs, did i just say my legs? if that's what i said then am sorry i meant to say i can't feel any part of my body, i think my mind is also leaving me, i can't bring myself to think straight again, am just laying on my bed facing the celling thanking God that the day is finally over, yakashi (a tribal name) is finally married and has been conveyed to her husbands house in danchitagi the crazy village next to mine don't quote me wrong i am a village girl
I am Maimuna Muhammad but they call me Amuna while some people choose to make it sound more local by calling me nnawo which is my tribal name, i am from kpachita, i was born in kpachita and still live there but i school in bida that is because it is a boarding school the government girls secondary school is well known in bida and many part of Niger state as G.G.S.S. i was taken to that school in my js1 and many people in the village believed i was taken there because of my stubbornness, well don't mind their point of view i am not stubborn at all i only broke two girls arm, killed my neighbors dog because it wouldn't stop barking at night and then taught some mannerless guys lesson except if they would want to count the fact that i sprayed my teachers seat with carara (a type of leave that cause serious itching) because she flogged me for answering a question wrong, i didn't plan doing anything to her initially but i later realized how much she disgraced me in from of the whole class so i decided to revenge for we are in the world of vengeance. The good thing about that day was even as the whole class know i was the one behind her predicament none of them mentioned it because they sure are not ready to face my wrath.
I am the seventh born of my family, i have six sisters of which four are older than me and five brothers of which two are older than me, i am the no nonsense type i don't take shit from my younger one's but i love them so much because they mean a lot to me, without them my life will be no fun at all, they are my partners in crime especially my immediate younger brother Idris who some people call dirisu or lukpan, he is my knight in shining armor. Did i even mention the twins hassana and husaina but are called sanna and husay, oh my God those set are the definition of trouble they send scorpion to who so every step on their toes (spiritual power twins possess) and they are always ready to help me when i need their help that is why i can't stop loving them. Not to forget the solider of the house Abubakar he is the only lucky person i think because his name was not remixed unlike ours, he said he doesn't want to be a farmer like our dad he wants to become a solider so he would kill anybody that want to harm or destroy our family, that boy is so smart i tell you and then our baby Umar, he might still be a baby but people derive pleasure in calling him Umaru which we never expected since Abubakar's name was not remixed but we should have known better and then back to my elder ones ya kabiru is the first born, me and him get along so much because he thinks am smarter than ya kyatswa, and that leads to the enmity between me and ya kyatswa the second born of the family and obviously the first girl, she is married with two kids. The day she got married was my happiest day, i had less enemy after she left. Ya kashi just got married she is my best sister, she believes in me so much just like ya kabiru.
I will miss her so much because she always save me from mama's beating. Yanchiko is the i don't care type and he is a smooth talker and has his ways with girls, i wonder what they see in him, and then my other nightmare, yes they are twins also ya madina and ya sagi, i don't know what they feel like or how their brain works but trust me it doesn't work well, they feel because they are my immediate any work given to them should be transferred to me, do they think i am some house help or what? and guess what after i do half of the work that is supposed to be done by them they end up using that their dirty mouth to go about and call me a lazy girl, atimes i just feel like slitting their throat so they would get out of my life and let me live in peace, i just wish they are the next in line to get married but no they are not.

What are you doing in the room when everyone is out here) yes who else could say something like that if not mama, she shares same view with the twins about me if not worst, one minute she is praising me and the next i am her punching bag, she never miss any opportunity to beat be because i am the world most laziest person she has ever seen, her word not mine but when she comes to praise me oh my God you will think i have never done any wrong thing my whole life, well that is typical mama everyone is use to her so it's no big deal.
A'a mama mi jin yendo da nin boa ni mi de lelechi kawai (no mama i am not doing anything inside i was just laying on the bed) i said coming out to meet her, she looked at me from head to toe and said 'well done princess oya go and prepare spaghetti the way i did last time when they came for ya kashi's engagement, make sure it is sweet because two of your cousin brothers are coming from Lagos and will be arriving late at night, you know how far Lagos is from here, don't forget to boil hot water for them also so they can take their bath and wash way the tiredness'. I kept a poker face and listened to her then left for the kitchen. The only thing i did was pity the two idiots coming because i am so going to make life miserable for them, how dare they deprive me from my blissful thought and rest.
