[MC's POV]
Scáthach and I, just finished our training session. I can feel my body improving as well as the amount of stats I could steal from Scáthach temporarily but I doubt i can go toe to toe with her with just that. I also expanded my Mana Pool in 1 month, now I can probably stay in the maximum speed when using aerial manipulation for 6 hours now.
"You're improving day by day, I'm really Impressed dear. Although now I know the reason as to why you can make me break a sweat when sparring, Physical Hunt huh? Pretty decent skill for you seeing as your combat prowess doesn't amount to that much yet. If you were fighting anyone other than me then that might just be your trump card." Scáthach said as she lent me a towel to wipe off my sweat.
"Let me guess, you took a look at my roll history didn't you?" I asked her while taking putting the towel I wiped my sweat with to the side of the bench.
"Of course, I'm the Overseer remember?" Scáthach said.
"Heh... Perks of being the Overseer huh? I still have to train my body to its peak though, in order to use Physical hunt to its fullest." I told Scáthach.
"Yeah, You should go outside now, so you could gain some combat experience against the evolved monsters, try not to use your Stone Gaze on them though," Scáthach advised as she stood up.
"Alright, I guess... Since you said so. The Combat experience I will gain from fighting evolved monsters might not be much but it's honest work right?" I said as I stood up from the bench and kissed Scáthach.
Scáthach giggled and said, "Fufufu~ You're right dear." Both of us went back to the first floor where I was greeted with the sight of Chara shoving Sans into a refrigerator.
"Chara... What are you doing to Sans?" I asked her. Scáthach was busy playing with SCP-999 to notice Chara shoving Sans into the refrigerator.
"W-what? O-oh, hey there Zahard, I'm just teaching this smiley trashbag a lesson," Chara said as she keeps trying to shove Sans into the refrigerator.
"ZAHARD! STOP THIS KID PLEASE, SKELETONS MIGHT BE COLD RESISTANT BUT I SURE AS HELL WON'T FIT IN THIS FRIDGE!" Sans yelled for help.
I walked towards Chara and pulled her away from Sans who finally breathed a sigh of relief.
I looked at Chara who seemed to have a faint pink aura using my empathy, she's looking away from me as we speak.
Sans saw us and said, "Heheh... You better cook me some hotdogs for this, human girl. Heh..." Sans laughed and said. I was so confused by what he meant.
I looked at Chara who was looking below with a bashful expression, I then followed where her gaze was at, and abra cadabra! How the fuck did our hands ended up being intertwined with one another?!
I then looked at Chara who also looked up at me, I can see that faint pink aura become more clearer and clearer by the second. Oho~? Seems like Chara is... The better question is whether I let nature take its course or not? I'll go with the former for now, hehehe...
I let go of her hand and averted my gaze to Scáthach who was looking at us with an amused expression, she came up to me while smirking and said, "I guess you also noticed what's up huh?"
"Yeah, and what do you have to say about it dear?" I asked Scáthach, who intertwined her hands with mine and gently caressed it while saying, "I don't mind if you take her you know? Even though we don't like each other, as you can see from our gaze that seems to have knives and spears clashing with each other, I doubt that she'll care about you having me as your first lover as long as you also take her as a lover."
"We'll see where fate will decide to take us, I'll let nature take its course for now as we have more important things to do. Taking it too fast might be counterproductive after all." I told her.
"Wise choice dear~" Scáthach said.
"Okay, so guys, I'll be going outside the bunker as per Scáthach's advice. Anyone wants to go outside me?" After I said that, I could see Chara was about to say something but suddenly paused as she looked at Scáthach and nodded at her.
"Sans, do you want to go with me?" I then averted my gaze to Sans who was looking at the entire ordeal with his toothy grin.
"Heh... Sure kid, i'll get to stretch my bones and maybe let loose once in a while," Sans agreed, he stood up from the kitchen chair and came to me.
"I wonder how much damage you'll cause on the outside world if you let loose Sans," I smirked while gesturing Sans to follow me.
"Heh... That depends kid... That depends..." Sans said before following me.
Both of us then went upstairs to the bunker vault and finally! after 1 month! the breath of fresh.... Air??
The smell of blood filled the neighbourhood, I could already imagine what kind of hellish experience had befall upon this neighbourhood, and it seem like this will only get worse.
"Heh... This was not the scene I was expecting to see kid, those Monsters or Undeads really did a number on this town." Sans said as he looked around the town where i lived, filled with ruins of houses and the scent of bloodshed lingering in the air.
"I wonder how many casualties have the Undead's havoc caused?" I pondered.
[ Approximately, 1.5 billion people have died from the Monsters and Undead's attack, meanwhile 500 million people died from fighting against one another. ]
"As expected..." I sighed.
[ The Host has returned to the surface. The host has unlocked the Quest Function. ]
[ Quest Function has been unlocked. ]
"Oh... Great... God I hate quests... Oh well..." I just shrugged away the New function notification, I don't have time to worry about it, I'm here to fight monsters and possibly gain basic gacha tickets, not to waste my time with quests.
"Let's go around the neighbourhood Sans, let's check the whole town's perimeters for monsters." I told Sans, to which he nodded.
After a few minutes of looking around, we eventually found ourselves in a forest where we found 10 wolf type monsters, it was a pack of wolves.
[ System, what rank is this pack of monsters? ]
(A/N: The MC does not have the appraisal skill, he can only see the stats and descriptions of the character and items he summoned from the Gacha System itself.)
[ There are approximately, 9 Rank - D Evolved Monster: Blood Wolf, and 1 Rank - C Evolved Monster: Blood Wolf. ]
"Alright... 10 vs 1 huh?, you stay here Sans." I told Sans.
"Sure kid, knock yourself out kid." Sans shrugged and just leaned on a Tree.
I leaped from the ground unto a tree branch to get the higher ground, I spectated the wolves who seemed to be eating human remains.
Even though I don't care if people die as long as they aren't people close to me, Seeing one being eaten in front of me is still really disgusting and disturbing.
I could probably just jump in straight and use Stone Gaze on the Pack leader to make this a tad more easier for me, but I'd like to fight without using skills for now and only my passive skills, the only passive skills i've got are ||CQC|| which was now Rank-B/Level: 8 as I always use it when fighting with Scáthach along with ||Fast Reflex|| which was now Rank-B/Level: 3. ||Foresight|| was another passive skill that I've got but it didn't rank up just from sparring with Scáthach, but now its standing at Level: 15. I dropped down in front of the pack, I alerted them seeing as they began to growl at me.
After I dropped down and said, "HELL YEAH! SUPERHERO LANDING, ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY THAT ONE!"
I could feel Sans was awakened from his sleep from how loud I was but who cares.
The Pack leader released a howl which I could guess was an order to attack as after the howl was done, all of the wolves attacked. 3 wolves attacked me in front, 2 wolves attacked at my back, left side, and right side. The Pack leader used the environmental advantage and climbed the tree to deliver an attack from above.
I made a quick work of the of the wolves attacking in front of me by deliver a roundhouse kick on their faces and giving their necks a thrust as my fist passed right through their necks, I then ducked and sweeped the wolves attacking me from behind off their feet before punch one of the wolves that lunged at me at my left side. I stomped one of my feet at one of the wolves who fell of their feet and broke their skulls along with their brain.
After killing 5 wolves, the Pack leader finally decided to attack which I immediately evaded. I sent a back kick to the pack leader which sent it flying right through 2 trees before finally crashing into the 3 tree, I highly doubt it's dead though. I quickly killed 2 more wolves before the pack leader comes back, leaving only a total of 3 wolves, and 2 of them are heavily injured, meanwhile one which was the pack leader is probably coming back now. I grabbed two of the other heavily injured wolves by their necks and crashed both of their heads together with all my strength, I could see blood dripping from the 2 wolves' head as I crushed their head.
The Pack leader finally came back, only to be greeted with its subordinates on the floor, lifeless and unmoving. The Pack Leader was enraged as it grew bigger and flames began to generate from its mouth, it then opened its mouth to fire the projectile from its mouth but before it released the projectile, I managed to kick the Pack leader from its chin, doing so will close its mouth and make the projectile explode on its mouth, and my expectations was not betrayed indeed because the head of the Pack leader exploded from the explosion its flaming projectile created, that flaming projectile was probably a fireball or something like that but who cares right?
[ Congratulations! You have obtained 2 Basic Gacha Tickets! ]
"Heh, Sweet!"
Group battles are definitely way harder and different from Solo battles, my physical strength and agility is only at C-Rank at best, meanwhile my Endurance is at B-Rank.
If I use Physical Hunt, depending on the strength of the opponent and with my body, I could probably reach S-Rank in Physical Prowess.
If I use all my skills except for Physical hunt then i'll be an S+ Ranked Evolver with C-Rank Physical Prowess.
If I use all my skills including Physical Hunt then I could reach the strength of an SS+ Ranked Evolver with my S+ Evolved Power and my S Ranked Physical Prowess. It's not that bad to be honest.
I went back to Sans who was sleeping at the same tree he was leaning on earlier except with a shit ton of monsters surrounding him. The monsters were impaled with bone spikes and the others were pierced by sharp bones, Sans is plenty powerful himself after all.
"Wake up Sans, It's time to go." I slapped the skull of Sans.
"Wait wha... Oh... Okay kid, im right behind ya," Sans said while yawning.
<Moments later>
After walking around the forest with Sans, we found a thick black smoke up in the sky, it was near us so we decided to take a look at it.
Moments after, we arrived where the black smoke originated and we found a very huge human settlement being raided by at most 200 bandits, most bandits were C-Ranked Evolved humans, and the leader was atleast a B-Ranked Evolved human.
Me and Sans were watching the settlement being raided, the bandits doing inhumane things which didn't need to be mention, it caused a look of disgust from both me and Sans.
"Hey kid, don't you want to help them? I mean... They are also humans like you," Sans said while looking at the scene in front.
"Sans... Being in the same race doesn't matter when the end of civilization comes, humans will inevitably succumb to their inner devils and desires. Most will do inhumane actions just for the sake of entertainment, pleasure, and leisure. That's just the way it is." I paused and continued, "If I were the one in their position, do you really think that they would help me just because im also a human like them? The answer is no Sans... They are just unfortunate to be the ones targeted." I then walked away from the sight in front of us and began to head back.
"We aren't heroes Sans, nor do we aspire and pretend to be one. Leave those kinds of jobs to hypocritical people, justice doesn't mean shit in front of power, no one will help you even if you are a hero, everyone is selfish like that Sans. Although you saved them when they were in trouble, but if you are the one in trouble, no one will save you... That's how selfish humanity is Sans." I grabbed a bottle of water from the system inventory and drank it before continuing, "What I'm saying is... Just because you saved them, doesn't mean they'll do the same for you, although some humans aren't selfish, but most humans are definitely selfish."
I turned to look at Sans, "Do you want to know something Sans?"
"What is it kid?" Sans asked.
"Do you know... Fairy tales? You know... Those fantasy stories that were told to you by your parents?" I said.
"Heh... I can barely remember my Father kid, much less being told fairy tales..." Sans answered.
"Well... Fairy tales, more specifically... Heroic Fairy Tales, have teached me a lot of lessons, and some of those lessons still stuck to me till now." I paused and then continued, "Heroes in Heroic Fairy Tales are shown to be Chivalrous, Forgiving, Kind, Friendly, and most importantly... They save everyone in trouble. There's a problem with that though... A very huge problem... You see. Heroes tend to go to a lot of trouble just to save one single person, although they always end up victorious, that doesn't mean they'll remain as one. Do you know what i learned from Heroic Fairy Tales other than being kind to one another? It's that, Heroes tend to have Tragic endings... Some ended up being poisoned by their most trusted friend, some got betrayed, and some got killed by the person they saved. Although that wasn't the most important thing that i learned, what the most important thing I learned was that humans... Are selfish."
"Heroes tend to have a tragic ending Sans, and I don't intend to have the same ending as theirs. In this world right now, the only rule is identical to the rule of the jungle. It's kill or to be killed, so if needed then I will be as ruthless as a Tyrannical Leader, as cold as Ice, and as Unforgiving like a former hero that survived their tragic ending, If that meant I could protect you guys at the bunker."
"We aren't Heroes Sans, we weren't meant to be one nor were we born to be one, we were born as selfish people, lets keep it that way. Only hypocrites declare themselves as heroes." After I finished what I had to say, I sped up and continued exploring the perimeters of the town.
"Heh... Well said kid, I wouldn't trust a fool after all." Sans jokingly said.
"Hahahaha, Well I guess you have no choice but to trust me now Sans." I answered Sans
"Heheheh... Sure looks like it kid," Sans laughed.
We continued on exploring the perimeters of the town again.
A few moments of exploring the perimeters of the town, we went and explored the inner parts in the town and ended up in an abandoned building.
[ A Quest has been Generated! ]

"I can sense a bunch of scums in that building over there kid." Sans said.
"I know Sans, I said that I don't want to be a hero, but I don't mind cleaning up some scums of the society," I said as I equipped Murasame
"Heh... Whoever kills the less will have to run around naked the bunker." Sans said as a bunch of sharp bones were floating above him.
"In your dreams Sans, you're a skeleton, there's no difference whether you have clothing on or not, but I still have a reputation to uphold." I told Sans which made him laugh.
"Heheheh... Then whoever kills the most Scums will get to slap the loser as hard as they can with the best of their ability." Sans said.
"You got yourself a deal my friend," I told Sans.
"Heh... Deal," After Sans said that, both of us immediately rushed inside the building and started a bloodbath inside...

(A/N: Annnndddd that wraps up the Final chapter of the day because I wasted my time playing games hahaha, I hope you enjoyed though~)
(A/N: Next chapter will partly be the thing that Chara and Scáthach were talking about. I'll take a break for today because this chap is too long.)
