Chapter 9: Halloween Dance
Miguel looked over at him as well "What's wrong with you?" He doesn't look at them while responding back "Nothing. Put your costume's on. And I'm driving you both to that dance. We're gonna pick up more students." Miguel gets up putting what looked like sheets over his face while both Zane and their sensei looked confused. "What the hell is that?" they both said at the same time while Miguel answered "It's my Halloween costume. My yaya made it. It started off as Deadpool. Then I think it was Spider-Man, And then it just kind of became some generic superhero."
Afterwards Sensei Lawrence gave Miguel a new costume and they headed off to the dance with their sensei driving them. They walked into the dance with Zane wearing no shirt underneath his costume so his chest and abs were visible along with his scars. While Miguel wore a Skeleton costume, they were with Demetri and Eli, While the four of them were talking Zane noticed a lot of girls and some guys giving him occasional glances.
He only got back into the conversation when he heard Demetri say in his usual sarcastic voice that he had gotten used to these few days he had been at the school. "What are you supposed to be a fuck boy?" Zane chuckles at his comment "Yeah, Just think about all the girls I might pull after tonight." Demetri rolls his eyes "Yeah, go get em tiger." he says sarcastically making a little motion with his hand.
As they were talking a Girl comes over to them she was wearing a Harley Quinn costume that really showed off her body. long black hair, beautiful Hazel eyes along with her cute nose and plump lips, and with her curvy body she looked really sexy, She had a light skin tone but Zane could tell she was most likely Cuban.
She looks at Zane biting her lip "I like your costume." He chuckles "Same to you." as he said that he noticed her looking down at his abs and chest. "My eyes are up here you pervert." he says jokingly covering himself. She giggles "You wanna dance with me?" she says nervously. Zane smiles noticing her blush "Yeah, Sure why not?" While he he was leaving with her he heard Demetri mutter "It actually worked?" to which he smirked.
They were dancing for a while in silence when she suddenly breaks it with a question "How did you get these scars?" Zane smiles at her "I got stabbed a few times." She stopped dancing and looked at him sadly "Why did you get stabbed?" His smile drops and he looks at her seriously "I don't wanna talk about it but maybe someday I will." he says staring at her with friendly eyes she nods and they continue to dance.
Soon after he went to the bathroom and while he was draining his snake he heard groaning, he quickly got curious deciding to check it out. He put it back in his pants going to check out who was groaning, when he walked in the locker room he saw Miguel groaning in pain and he was on the floor bleeding.
He quickly rushed over to him picking him up bridal style, he knew Miguel was gonna hate this but he had no choice at the moment. As he began heading for the door Sensei Lawrence had walked in "What the hell happened." Zane quickly shook his head "I have no fucking clue." He says as he heads out of the door towards his sensei's car.
As they laid Miguel on the couch his mother told their sensei to never come again and as the door to the home was closing, Miguel yelled out "NO COBRA KAI NEVER DIES!" in desperation as he had gained conscious. Zane walked to his home entering and went straight to his room punching his punching bag and kicking it with all his might thinking to himself "I should've been there I let them get my friend I gotta get em back but I can't get in anymore trouble." He thinks to himself while laying it into his punching bag.
