Chapter 2: origins 2
Zane hearing the noise freaks out and fell to the ground of the shower he tried to muster up some courage to go see what exactly had happened but he couldn't he was petrified, He was only six but he knew what a gun sounded like and in his neighborhood hearing one so close was not good. After a while of sitting on the shower floor terrified he finally muster's up the strength to get up and move.
Zane walked out of the bathroom door quietly and snuck into his room he pulled on some clothes and walked back to his bedroom door, Suddenly he heard three more gunshots and he jumped scared stiff not being able to move. Suddenly he heard hurried footsteps and he rushed into his closet as quietly as he could.
As Zane made it into his closet something busted threw his door and he couldn't tell who or what it was but suddenly he heard his father's voice. "Zane where are you come on we gotta go now." Zane quickly runs out of the closet and jumps into his dad's arms. his dad carries him into the living room but quickly shields his eyes.
He puts Zane down and says hold my hand and Zane listens, but he hears something weird like groaning and it sounded like his mom. Curious he decides to open his eyes once he opens his eyes what greets him is three dead body's and his mom bleeding out slung over his fathers shoulder he starts crying saying "Daddy mom s-she's bleeding. why is she b-bleeding?"
His father doesn't answer and picks Zane up and puts him in the car and lays Tyra down in the car as well, He begins speeding down the road on the way to the nearest hospital which luckily was close. When they finally make it to the hospital Tyra is unresponsive so Josh grabs her and rushes her inside with Zane following closely behind him.
Once they make it inside Zane hears his father screaming out "HELP PLEASE WE NEED A DOCTOR NOW!!" The nurses and other people notice the bleeding woman in his hands and they rush her to urgent care right away, With Zane trying to follow after them he says "W-Wait S-Stop where are you taking my mommy."
Before he can get any further his father grabs him and settles him down in a chair and kneels down in front of him and says "Calm down there going to try to save yo mama." Zane nods and puts his head down sadly. While his father simply takes the seat next to him seemingly unfazed by all of this.
