Chapter 3: Chapter 2: 4 years later

It's 5 years since I'm come to this world. It's exactly as I expected, I'm in an anime world. I finally met my neighbors and learned that Nishinoya is indeed my neighbor and we've quickly become friends. I guess that's how children go, which I also have my adult mind to thank.

I've grown taller and my hair has grown out now. I have light blond hair from my mother and beautiful red eyes from my father. My hair is really smooth in this life compared to my life's black oily hair.

'Maybe it's just how anime works you have to have good hair to be a protagonist' I smirk and thought to my self.

"Yo, Kai are you gonna ask your mom today?" asked a smaller than usual and chibi Nishinoya.

"Yea I can't wait to start playing together Noya!" I replied. "I'm go ask her now and see if she will help us after lunch."

Now that I'm 5, I've decide on asking my mother if she will help me learn to play volleyball. I wanted to learn earlier but then I thought of how ridiculous I was being thinking I could learn before now as my body hadn't grown enough yet. Her being a high school volleyball player made me instantly want to have her teach me as much as she can. If I could get good enough me and Nishinoya could beat Kitagawa Daichi and change part of the story!

I had already decided that I was going to change the story just with me being here in general, so I thought why hold back and live life as I wanted. Plus, living according to a story you now will happen is pretty boring and that's the last thing I want.

As I walk in the house after playing at the Yu house, my mother is making lunch and dad is on the couch. 'Now's the time,'I thought since they're both home.

"Mom can you teach me and Noya volleyball?" I asked hoping this time she'd say yes.

My mom looked at me and saw my eyes sparkling with excitement and smiled. "Okay I'll teach you on the weekends after lunch how does that sound?"

"Yes! Thanks mom you're the best!" I jumped back and forth excited to finally be able to practice.

In fact, I was so excited I called Nishinoya over to eat lunch so we could play as soon as we got done. We all ate and me and nishinoya wolfed down our food as fast as possible which got a chuckle out of my parents.

When all was done we headed out to a park nearby and started playing.

My mom looks at us while holding a volleyball and said, "To play volleyball the most important thing to know how to do is keep the ball in the air without holding it. I know you've both watched games with me so you know a little of what I'm going to show you, but it's very important to practice fundamentals."

After that she proceeded to show us some basic stances to receive the ball. I picked it up pretty well with me having my last life to help me. Nishinoya on the other hand took a lot longer, which is understandable with him being young.

My mom looked at me surprised and asked, " Kai is this the first time you've tried to practice?"

I knew I was being abnormal so I took a second to reply. " No I would play in my room and copy the teams on TVs moves."

My mom look shocked and happy at me. She was shocked because I would even think to do that with how young I was, and she was happy because I picked it up rather well.

After an hour and a half Mom was finally getting tired and said, "All right you boys keep training by yourselves next week while we are at work. It's getting late we should head home Kai."

"Okay, bye Noya." I said as I waved.

"Bye Kai and Mrs. Tatsuki." Nishinoya replied.

As we returned home l instantly went to my room and went to sleep. "Playing volleyball is really taxing, I'm gonna have to start running in the mornings so I can keep up" I decided as I drifted off to sleep.
