Chapter 144: Where is Home?

"What the fuck?!" Mikhail exclaimed, shocked that the messenger had just plopped down on the floor without so much as a warning. Darius rushed to Khalil as Mikhail tried to regain his composure at what had just happened.

How was this even happening right now? Carefully, he carried the messenger to the sofa in Angelo's office, careful not to hurt the poor boy in case something really was wrong with him.

As soon as his body hit the gentle sofa, Khalil woke up with a gasp, muttering endless apologies to the trio that was watching him, waiting for him to say something.

"I'm so sorry that I fainted beta. I was just bringing some news from the human world"

"the human world? What could be so interesting about the human world at a point when our home is almost crumbling?" Carl asked and Khalil wanted to scoff at him, though he knew very well that could mean the end of him and possibly his family.
