"Is there something wrong?"
Sydney just shook her head
"You can tell me, I won't mind whatever it is," Kai said, he could tell she was holding something extremely important back, but she continually averted her gaze and looked down, she was so flustered for some reason which made Kai wonder what it was about.
Kai didn't say anything else, just examining her with his dark and alluring eyes as he waited for her to speak up.
Sydney took a deep breath, her skin that was as fair as the snow had a healthy blushed hue to it, she had an elegant and graceful oval-shaped face and she was wearing a dark blue dress that showed off her slender shoulders and goddess-like proportions, her sizeable chest heaved up and down nervously as she was unable to look at him, but she eventually steeled her nerves, her beautiful warm blue eyes, and delicate facial features accentuated by her long light blue hair appeared in his sight as she looked up and finally asked her question.
"Are...are you gay?"
Sydney asked, her cheeks were extremely flushed like a blossoming red rose, she couldn't believe she actually asked him, she only had her sister to blame for this.
"You...you seem to have never shown any interest in any women or care if they fancy you, even when I touch you...you show no reaction." Sydney followed her question with a bashful voice.
Kai blanked out as soon as he heard her question, it was like his brain short-circuited and he couldn't even respond. Out of all the question's Kai thought she was going to ask, that was definitely not one of them that had crossed his mind.
The dumbfounded expression that formed on his face quickly returned to normal as he snapped out of his daze and then....he started laughing...
he was laughing so hard his stomach started to hurt.
"Hahhahahahah"
Sydney's graceful and extremely beautiful face that had an nervous and expectant look quickly turned confused and slightly fearful as she saw his reaction, she had never seen Kai laugh so hard and she was worried that he was offended by her words or that he actually did like men.
Kai eventually stopped laughing, her question and the situation was just so abrupt that it was one of the funniest things he's ever heard, but then a solemn expression formed on his face as he fully comprehended her words, and now that he thinks about it, he really has never shown interest in any of the beautiful women around him, not caring nor thinking about them at all.
Kai was mostly focused on one thing and that was getting stronger and stronger, his body and soul thirsted for immense strength and every increase in cultivation was like a wonderful drug that he became addicted to and he was too occupied with that to care about the affairs of men and women, but after she brought it up it really made him start to think.
Kai's Yin-Yang Divine Dragon Mark suddenly Illuminated, his mind instantly flooding with memories of another life in an entirely different world.
Kai discovered this peculiar ability that gave him memories of a different life when he reached the Martial Transformation Realm at 12 years old. The memories felt so surreal and real at the same time, making him believe he actually experienced them...
When one reached the transformation realm, one was able to form specific types of Qi Cyclones.
When a cultivator reached Martial Transformation, their Spiritual Qi Cyclones would turn more dense and powerful, one would also be able to form three Cyclones of a specific type of Qi of their own choice, that Qi could be any of the elements (Lightning Qi, Wind Qi, Fire Qi, Water Qi, etc) or it could be of the many special types of Qi (Sword Qi, Spear Qi, Imperial Qi, Slaughter Qi, etc).
Many cultivators weren't able to form a specific type of Qi Cyclone when they reached Martial Transformation because in order to absorb the elemental or special types of Qi into cyclones they would have to comprehend the intents of the specific element or special concept before being able to draw their Qi.
For example, having to comprehend Wind Intent before being able to draw Wind Qi.
Intents were the wills of the world, a deeply profound and mysterious law that many find extremely difficult to comprehend. For cultivators to learn Intent, they need to know the very source of the respective energy, to know the very cause and meaning are essential to comprehending the intent. If someone doesn't understand those essential sources and reasons and also can't put it into practice, one cannot truly understand nor use intent.
Yin and Yang were concepts of the highest level in the world, where all existences were birthed from.
Yin is Female / Soft / Death / Dark / the Moon, while Yang is Male / Hard / Life / Bright / the Sun – the comparisons are endless.
Yin and Yang describe how opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they mutually give rise to each other creating a duality that makes a foundation for all aspects of the universe.
Kai was lucky enough to have the bloodline talents of the Yin-Yang Divine Dragon, he was born with immense affinity with Yin-Yang energies allowing him to clearly glimpse into their profundities, he successfully condensed 2 Yin and 2 Yang Cyclones of Qi, reaching the 2nd level of Elementary stages for both Yin Intent and Yang Intent. (There were 9 levels of stages for every intent and worked similar to cultivation)
To Draw in Yin and Yang Qi energies Kai had to absorb many treasures that naturally birthed large amounts of Yin and Yang Qi. Those treasures were especially rare, limited, and precious and couldn't be found just anywhere, his family, which was extremely prosperous, had to give up countless valuable resources just for the small amount of Qi he assimilated.
Every time he made a Yang Qi Cyclone he had to quickly make a Yin Qi Cyclone to balance the Yin Qi in his body, he also had to absorb more Yin Qi than Yang Qi since he naturally birthed much more Yang Qi in his body.
With every condensed Yin and Yang Qi Cyclone, a burst of information would mysteriously enter his mind, the information was memories of another life, the life and memories that imprinted into his mind felt so genuine and real like he personally lived and experienced them himself.
The first memories were him born as an orphan, he had to fight, steal, and struggle to live day by day in an extremely cruel environment. The memories followed his rise to greatness from his life as a pitiful child to a powerful and venerable being, he managed to get a powerful master and then eventually became the head of the greatest assassin organization in the world.
He was a legendary assassin known for his charm, there were many stories about the leader of Nightfall (the name of the most powerful assassin organization in the world) seducing a target's sister, wife, significant other, cousin, daughter, etc. and getting them to willingly tell him vital information about the target he was going to assassinate, he had also never failed a mission.
The most interesting part was that every memory was extremely vivid like he lived it himself, particularly when he slept with all those women, every movement, feeling, and sound deeply engraved itself into Kai's mind.
But, for the most part, Kai was able to ignore anything that didn't help him increase in strength so he only focused on the many assassin techniques and practices which happened to be extremely useful, but now that Sydney suddenly brought this topic up, it made him realize he was slowly losing himself in his desire for power...
