In the Slums, the monsters didn't attack in waves. Their numbers just increased significantly, which caused almost all of the cities to be destroyed. For strong places like Terein and The Nest, the large number of monsters was not enough to destroy them.

Lu Bao was surprised that the monsters had attacked two cities in the Inner Circle at once. He couldn't imagine what it was like for the residents of the cities near the border.
