As dawn lit through the branches, revealing remains of battle, Kil, who woke up first, gently poked her masters. Sil opened his eyes, all of sudden memories of yesterday overwhelmed him, but his state was soothed by Vile's short breath. He needed to find a place for her to fully recover, otherwise chances were most on her death. A powerful presence breached through the fabric of reality, but revealed to be just old good Geode.
"I know a friend that might help you now, teleport to my mountain is out of question. Even I have limits." He said.
Sil nodded, leaving his guard.
"Remember that against a god on par with me, you don't stand a chance – try to run off"
"I could not escape dragging Vile with me…"
"Glad to hear the care in your voice. Remind me to teach you a thing when we meet next time – a trick perfect for use while cornered. Bye now; got to move some tectonic plates." Geode warped them to a tiny shack.
While small, it was kept in perfect condition, and even the blankets were good quality, delicate to touch. Sil gently put his wife onto bed, then held her hand. Kil was sitting outside, wary of possible danger. After a while, Sil's eyes were closing.
"I don't recall inviting you here."
Sil looked around, but saw no one. A little confused, returned to his nap.
"You shall give me something for using my house, don't you?" Same voice rang through the air, this time louder. Sil woke up immediately, reaching his weapon.
"Put that down before someone gets injured. You don't even see your target, and will potentially break my windows."
"How long have you been here?" Sil finally started to understand the awkward situation.
"I stood here for all morning. Add the rest yourself." Invisible woman was a bit angry by now. "Find use for yourself and chop some wood." She ordered, while reading runes carved in a stone slab:
Dear friend, which pale hair wove in the air unseen!
I send you my family, which wounds you may clean.
Latter words were written in normal language: I'm not good with runes! [some runts about poetry in runic language] Just see that my daughter recovers. You can use that woolhead in any way, then just kick them out. Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase, would you make me that favor?
PS I enjoy the 'name' thing! I'm called Geode now, that boy gave me a cool nickname!
As always after reading that god's letter, Reine's anger was reaching a point when she was surprisingly calm. She just placed it among other, which maked a nice mound in the garden. After that she checked the girl's condition, which was, as always, almost lethal. 'No, not as always… ' She thought. 'This time she was really dead. And these are signs of that boy's mana.' She looked at Sil through a window, which was just doing his work, but without axe. 'I think that god finally found someone worth her.' A painful shout was heard from the outside. Sil decided to use the axe afterwards. 'Maybe…'
After first 20 chapters written in full speed, now I'm slowing down.
Got to have some time to regain passion of creation, which gives me joy as I write.
