Chapter 9: 6. The Bloodshed
As a mighty strike trembled the ground, Greed's men watched the abomination laughing at them fearless, despite facing twenty seven armed men, five with bows, four users of crossbow. It was barraged by bolts and arrows a moment monster finished it's speech. But none did any damage to the beast, Greed's men started to panick as the embodiment of their fears raised a night-black staff, following with an uppercut, which decapitated Torek, second in command. Some of his men just defecated right off the bat, and panted heavily just from the sheer aura of blood lust. But these were the 'lesser bad' which were followed by a fearsome despair, and fountains of blood. After slaing ten of the group, sil affixed a moon shaped blade onto his quarterstaff, which turned into a polearm now. If the previous wounds were grevious, now were finesely critical, severing limbs and heads, or even cutting torsos apart with premium quality magic infused blade.
Only four men were left at the end, from which two chose to surrender, and at least die with some reason. Greed and his courtisan stood firmly surrounded by a red mess of bowels, severed arms, parts of bones, and brains.
"I will give you everything, just spare my life, take her, she will be your best dreams!" The crazed man begged for mercy he did not show to many people in comparable situations before.
"Shut your dumpster mug, and die with some courage. You didn't have mercy to anyone yet want it for yourself, despicable pathetic fool!"
"Wait I'll give…" Words were shut down by a flash of green light, and Greed saw world spinning, then looked at a grass under his head, which was devoured by some caterpillars. The last word he fought was: Beautyfull.
The women stood frozen by the event, which was settled on her very eyes in few moments. "No… No! You bastard!" She shouted and drawn a poisoned needle out of its sheath, but never managed to go for a kill, as an cyan arrow shot through her eye socket, then another into second one, with a coup le grace of last one between her wet blooded blinds.
"She wouldn't kill me you know…" Sil said sadly.
"But could hurt you anyways, look at her weapon; poisoned." She sheathed the needle which left few drops of yellow oil on the leather.
"Thank you then, I don't think I could finish her, still am too soft, cold blooded killing comes with time…" Sil whispered the last words.
"They ended life of whole villages of people, slayed children and r**ed women, don't regret ending their endeavor." Vile consoled now crying boy.
"I-I'm not ready to kill anyone but gods!" Sil shouted above into the sky, with tears of remorse flooding his cheeks, and sobbed for a while.
'I'm only seventeen Octavo old, I'm not ready to kill people.' He thought desperately.
"But you must…" Vile read him like an open book. "Don't overthink that too much." She added.
"But I will never hurt an innocent! I hereby vow the world witnesses, I promise on the two suns life-giving shine, that my hand won't ever hurt an pure soul! Let the sky darken on that sad day if I break these oath…"
Vile listened amused to her very heart.
"YOU ARE NOW BOUND UNTIL YOUR SOUL LEAVES THIS WORLD" The skyes said loudly, with words of power, understandable by every living being.
And that was the beginning of an oldest Saga of Sillacca tribe, which members traditionally vowed in the same manner Sil did that sunny day. They believe the world will end when one of them breaks the oath. Tribe of Sillacca is one of the most appreciated men in the world. They bring help to the poor, and wreck havoc to the all sorts of evil on this imperfect world.
That is a start of the plot of "Woolhead's Misery". Behold.
