They woke up all the next morning, Sil's resources almost replenished, almost. His mana was still dimmed due to injured magic organellum, which got pretty damaged during his great chant. Vile was gladly helping him in any possible way, to make him recover faster. The gods have seen Sil much further in the Great Peaks, which spared them much trouble therefore. All was going smoothly. She was getting used to dayly routine, mostly working at the looms with other women, and emboidering her fabrics with beautifull patterns. She even got an order of the scene of their fight with sloth. That made her pretty amused, knowing the gratefullness of these modest people.
In the afternoons she always returned to their temporar housing, and with his forces recovered, Sil occasionally fulfilled bounty contracts, and sheperded the flock with great help of Kil, which was trained in that all her life.
These days were filled with peacefull joy, making them a good all relaxing time, and left the company cheerfull.
But one day it came to an end, like all on these cruel world. I'd only say it was not finished with any sort of bloodshed, but simple farewells, parting with new friends, and aquiantces. In the middle of First Warmt, they decided to leave the happy village, and promised themselves to return some day.
Oh and I almost forgot: You may wonder how is Sil wielding his quarterstaff with only one hand, do you? It's a simple, bud strange matter – he has a hand made of his pure mana, which is light, or heavy in certain circumstances.
Speaking of the broken quarterstaff, it was damaged beyond recovery, but the local smith appeared to be a master of his art. He forged an ebonwood shaft with lead and steel studs, and brass ferrules. Sil found the masterpiece very impressive, took few swings, and laughed with joy. Ebony was the best material for shafts of all kind, and he never expected to posses one, and of course not that well-made. It was even encrusted with garnets, citrines, and small emerald, with serpentinite inclusions here and there.
It was a bright sunny day, when the team decided to leave that nice place, and depart in the direction of great Ashen Ward city, the capital of Reigus republic.
Also Kil have grown up impressingly, so they journey was swift – riding on the Hilfi's back, they moved by 500 Stai per day. {Stai is about 0,4 mile author's note}
When the sunset was growing near, they landed on a clearing in the forest and lit up a campfire in a dug little niche, which allowed them to leave no trace of their provisory place to stay. All it takes was to place the darn right on the fire's ashes, to make it almost impossible to detect it later.
They built up a tend made of a hydrophobic threded sheet, and Sil's quarterstaff, which was jusi at hand.
After a brief talk, they decided to go to sleep to make them rested and ready for the next day. The night was peacefull, and filled with animal voices. Kil went for a hunt, to earn some meat to eat.
The sunrise left our company glad of pleasant wakeup. Then they broke their camp and put the darned dirt onto the campfire, which made every attempt of seeking their wereabouts pretty impossible.
The mountains were to be seen in their backside, but grew further away every Part. {1/7 of a day, authors note.}
The heights made our team feel glourious and joyfull, as they were sightseeing limestone rocks, and cliffs.
Later these day they were flying above a sea, followed by a trace of curious seagulls.
All went well til some dreadfull occurance, which was as terrifying as painfull.
So don't leave this opus unattended, the next part is coming im about 12 hours from now on!
It's good to see you're enjoing my novel. I see the rate of sights, which leave me glad of my work!
