Chapter 21

Seeing the frozen robot digimon, you couldn't help the primal grin of satisfaction from spreading across your face.

This thing had been the hardest fight you and your digimon had taken part in till date. It almost killed you, Ruki, Tukaimon and Lopmon. Then hurt Garurumon, did so much damage to Black Greymon and then almost killed you again, and it had taken so many attacks it was unreal.

And you thought that other Greymon was a beast for being able to stand after taking two of Black Greymon's attacks.

You looked to Garurumon watching the frozen digimon warily, ready for anything and Black Greymon struggling to his feet.

"Finish it off boys!" you ordered.

"Right boss!" they agreed as one.

Together, they both stepped forward, a duality of red and blue flames leaving their mouths and blasted the golden Guardromon with all of their power.

To your utter relief, the ice melted and the robot digimon burst into data, although not before glaring at your two digimon.

It was like an ocean of golden data that hung in the air after it was deleted and you couldn't help but sigh and fall on your ass in relief.

"Garurumon, can you smell anyone around?" you asked tiredly.

Garurumon took a sniff of the air before shaking his head, "No boss, the only ones I can smell are some digimon deeper into Kowloon."

Well that's a relief. Now what to do about this data?

..You suppose it's about time to get DemiDevimon up to champion. You lifted your digivice up into the air, "DemiDevimon reload!" you called out.

DemiDevimon appeared before you, hovering slightly in the air as he flapped his wings, "Can't you give this to Salamon?" he asked, "Honestly, becoming stronger will be a bit of a pain, it'll cut into my work schedule here if you make me too strong and want me to fight."

You rolled your eyes, "I promise I'll only make you fight if its really strong guys and I need your help, alright?"

DemiDevimon gave you a dubious look before sighing, "Fine boss," he rolled his eyes and promptly turned to the massive amount of golden data and just got right to it.

Your tiny little bat digimon did so hate wasting time.

He drew it in and seconds later, you couldn't see his small body at all beneath the waves of golden flakes. There was so much of it, it took him a good thirty seconds to load every piece.

The second he came back into view though, he exploded into bright white light.

"DemiDevimon digivolve to.....!"

And he grew, and grew, and then grew. He continued gaining height until he even towered over Black Greymon by a good ten feet.

And then the light receded and in your little digital bats place, stood a gargantuan demonic looking black dragon.

"Devidramon!"

"This is quite disconcerting, I'm not used to this kind of size," the now massive dragon grumbled, he eyed his Devimon-like arms and sighed, "Well, at least I have arms now, though I won't be able to fit in my hammock anymore like this."

You spent a few moments admiring Devidramon's new body, before remembering there were still some digimon lingering around.

You turned to Garurumon, "Hey, how many digimon are further in?" you asked.

He took a sniff of the air again before answering, "I can only smell four boss." he replied.

Well, four shouldn't be too hard. Unless they were all champions, but you highly doubted it. If there were any champions with them, that Guardromon would have went for them.

Right then, best to get this out of the way quick style. Holding up your digivice, you returned both Black Greymon and Garurumon. "Let's get this done quick," you said, then turned to Devidramon, "You up for testing your new power by taking these guys out nice and fast?"

The giant black dragon sighed, "Fiiiine boss," he groaned, "But I really need to go see about getting a bigger hammock to relax in when we get back to the private server."

You rolled your eyes, "I'll code you one, I promise."

Sheesh man. He's such an odd guy for a digimon. Most of the ones you've seen so far are always itching for a fight, Black Greymon and Garurumon certainly are.

Brigning up your digivice, you put all of Black Greymon's energy into the Function Call skill and then released it.

A massive look alike of black data cache formed in front of you and you grinned, while Devidramon eyed it curiosly, "That looks like quite a bit of data," he commented, "If I didn't already know what it is, because there's so much of it I even might have gotten drawn to it."

That was the plan, that amount of data even with the Function Call at level 1 would be insanely hard to resist for a rookie, even some champion's would be drawn to it.

Probably.

"Will you be okay for flying?" you asked Devidramon next.

He nodded, flapping his wings a bit. "Yeah boss, should be fine to go for a while," he replied, "I'm used to wings, so flying will be easier than walking about at least."

Perfect.

"Right, give me a lift then buddy," you said, "I want you to fly up high so we don't spook any of the digimon coming and then we'll attack them from above."

Well, you could really just use the Stealth skill, but this would be more cool.

Devidramon sighed, rolling his four crimson red eyes, before holding his hand out for you to jump on, which you did. He curled his hand around you gently just to make sure he didn't drop you.

And then you let loose a whoop of excitement as he flapped his wings and jumped into the air, soaring high.

"This is amazing!" you gushed as he glided up through the air.

"I prefer my hammock." Devidramon commented.

With his wings, it took little effort for the demonic dragon digimon to keep you both aloft. And so you waited.

Thankfully, you didn't need to wait long.

The lure of Black Greymon's energy must have been way too much resist, because within a few minutes, the four digimon practically raced into the room, pushing each other out of the way, climbing over each other and shit in a mad rush to get to the fake data cache.

It was hilarious.

And then the second all four got within reaching distance of the fake data:

"Datk Gale!" Devidramon shouted, unleashing a massive tornado of dark wind, with a massive bolt of black lightning contained within it.

It erased the four digimon, the data cache and even a giant chunk of the platform from existence.

Damn.
