Chapter 8: Chapter 8 Evil Witch

Jane's POV

The sound of my alarm woke me up from my deep slumber. I narrowed my eyes at it as I lazily slammed my hand on its top, successfully shutting it up.

With a frustrated groan, I removed the covers from on top of me and started making my way to the bathroom, walking ape-like. My knees slightly bent as my legs struggled to hold my weight. My arms falling by my side and if they were any longer, they would've been dragged across the floor behind me.

I finally reached the bathroom and started getting ready for school. I dried my face with a towel then looked in the mirror as yesterday's events came back to me again.

I was worried sick about Luca, praying from my heart that his father didn't hurt him again, or that at least Luca was able to stand against him. I know that it was something hard to do. He was afraid of him for almost all of his childhood and all person can't simply just grow out of his fright.
