Chapter 8: Chapter 2

"So what's your budget like?" The wedding planner asked.

"Money's no object." Ben shrugged, "but we wanna do things on a low key, just a few guests and a little venue is all we're looking at."

There was silence from her. She had been staring at his lips as he spoke. It took her a second or so to realize that he had stopped speaking.

"Okay. Yeah. That's great. When did you say the bride would be around?"

"Yo Benny!" Someone suddenly shouted from behind them.

"Next week." Ben said, "But the best man is already here."

They both turned to see an almost breathless Joey jogging up towards them.

"Hmm." The planner hummed.

"Cute, ain't he? Tall, dark, handsome?" Ben teased.

"Nah. I know his type. These are the kinds that switch sexuality halfway into a relationship."

Ben almost collapsed with laughter!

"What's funny?" Joey demanded as he reached their table and sank down on a chair.

"Ms. Ribbs here said you look like a science TV host."
