Chapter 11: Secret Boss
Akihito and Hikaru were walking through the cave, looking for a way out "we fell pretty far, how do you think we'll make it back up?" Akihito asked.
"I don't really know, I got down here after I heard some yelling and an explosion" Hikaru laughed a bit.
"Yeah yeah whatever.." Akihito responded then put his arm out to block Hikaru "hey look, there's mines all over the ground over here. We better be careful"
"Hm..if you pay attention it looks like those mines are leading somewhere, almost like they're protecting something. It might be some type of spell"
"Yeah you're right, we just gotta find a way to get there without being blown to bits"
"Book" Hikaru brought his book out then looked at some spells that he had "hmmm..we need to move far back for this one or you might blow up"
Akihito moved back and so did Hikaru "purple lighting!" Hikarus entire body had purple lighting around him, he moved his hands to the ground and sent the lighting to the mines, making them explode.
Akihito stood back surprised "that was powerful..seems like it does a lot of damage as well"
A bunch of spiders came rushing out from where the mines exploded "now it's time to show my moves too..might as well test out a new spell" Akihito said as he brought out his book.
"Fire spray!" Fire covered his hands then he pointed his hands towards the spiders and Shot his fire directly at them, burning them.
He put his book away then smiled.
"not bad" Hikaru said with a slight smile on his face "not that you're on my level" he laughed some then walked off.
"Tsk..yeah I'm better" Akihito followed after him, making sure to stay in front of him.
They kept trying to walk in front of each other until they approached bats flying all around them.
The bats started making loud noises which began to make Akihito and Hikaru hallucinate.
"H-Hikaru" Akihito said as he began to see the cave like a maze. He heard Hikarus voice but it only echoed from each direction around him.
Akihito heard Aimi voice in the distance "Akihito help me!"
Akihito began looking around "w-where are you! Aimi!" He started running through the cave.
Despair and sadness started to spread across his face as he started to hear noises of Aimi groaning and being killed by something.
"N-no where are you I'm here!" Akihito continued to yell.
Akihito used his hellfire to kill the bats around him since he realized they were the ones causing the hallucinations "ahhh! Get out of my head!" He killed the bats and then the cave went back to normal.
He started to breath heavily "Aimi..." he said quietly. He started to cry but immediately rubbed his tears away and stopped himself from crying.
'She would want me to be strong..I need to be strong' Akihito thought to himself.
He couldn't see Hikaru anywhere, he decided to keep moving without Hikaru 'he's strong, he'll be able to handle himself'
Akihito walked through the cave until he heard some noises coming from a certain direction so he walked in that direction.
He approached a big space with a gigantic spider in it, being surrounded by other smaller spiders. He looked at the gigantic spider nervously but decided to walk inside.
"Glad you decided to join the party!" Akihito looked over to who said that and it was Hikaru with his purple lighting around himself.
Akihito ran over to Hikaru "did you get some good shots on it?"
"No not yet I've been looking for an opening but it's been shooting webs at me this entire time!"
The spider shot a giant web at them, they both jumped in the opposite direction and rolled so it didn't hit them.
"W-we need teamwork, I want you to shoot it with your lighting and I'll shoot it with my fire from another side" Akihito said.
"Got it!" Hikaru responded.
Akihito ran to the opposite side "hey spider!" He stood there looking at the spider confidently.
"Fire spray!" He started spraying his fire at the spider as Hikaru shot his lighting at it. Akihitos hands started to burn some from using the strong spell.
The spider started climbing all over the walls and around them, shooting webs at them. They had to keep dodging.
Akihito and Hikaru were breathing heavily "do you have some type of immobilization spell?!" Akihito asked.
"Y-Yeah but I don't know if that'll work on this gigantic thing!" Hikaru responded.
"Just use it when I say!" Akihito yelled and started running around, the spider crawled up to the top of the cave.
"Alright use it!" Akihito yelled.
Hikaru used his immobilization spell and the spider was stuck, it was as if it was vibrating.
"H-hurry up Akihito!" Hikaru clinched his eyes, it was hard to immobilize something this gigantic and it took a lot of magic.
"Alright! Wind drive!" He propelled himself through the air right below the spider then switched his spell.
"Hellfire! Ahhhhh!!" He grabbed his swords tightly then stabbed the spider on its back.
Blood started to spray from the spider as it fell down, knocking Akihito down as well "crap!" Hikaru yelled, he wasn't able to hold it for much longer.
Akihito yelled as he was falling down, he knew he would be crushed by the spider. 'Im gonna need to use my wind drive so I can blow this giant spider away before it crushes me' Akihito thought to himself.
But right before they fell, Hikaru used his immobilization spell on both Akihito and the spider again to keep Akihito from falling too hard and the spider from crushing him.
"Move now!!" Hikaru stopped the spell on Akihito and he fell down softly, then he immediately moved out of the way and jumped as Hikaru let the spider down.
They both breathed heavily and laid down on the ground "y-you did pretty good" Akihito said.
Hikaru smiled and closed his eyes some "right back at ya" Hikaru responded.
"Do you think it had a spell? Akihito asked and brought out his book. Hikaru brought his out as well.
"Hm..there's two spells I got, one called power and the other called speed" Akihito told him.
"S-same..so we both got those spells?" Hikaru paused for a minute "nice"
They both smiled then started laughing as they did a fist bump, still laying on the ground.
