Chapter 8: ch. 6Brutus The Swan. STG.

I never knew him very well but, from what I did know he couldn't tiptoe if he had three feet. He was always screaming some lullaby or other at someone, who mostly just got put off by it but, couldn't get it through their own heads that they was really nuts for the guy. I only met him by way of a common acquaintance I worked with, a sister from another mister of his, she was kind of a swan too but a female swan, in that shed dive in on nearly anything with a swing, she almost dove on ME a couple of times though she wouldn't admit it, thing that separated them though, was brutus, was actually a full android, Shay was a hybrid, and one of brutus' two constant companions, it was almost like she was a concubine except they swung for the same team. Now, at the risk of over complicating things, but mostly just to stroke his ego, Shay and her friend Twyla would come on to him, relentlessly sometimes, threatening threesomes, and random, favors, just to pull him out of a funk from some guy hed be crushing on, and he was never really even programmed at all, but for Twyla and Shay, it was a definite protocol. I dont really myself, know, what that was or just how we all became friends but, the bit of occasional hazing did. Now, as an avatar I was programmed to accept these kinds of things, and synthesize friendships, from humor but, brutus was not, and hed always be snickering and musing, this isn't a real thing, is it?! And I'd just play along, nope. I'd just see another door, yeah, that was my humor for it, didnt take me long to believe I was really being mean though so... I went by max, as I was avatar to rodger Maxwell, in virtua time, and A-max in my own time, theyd always ask me when I was going to "max out" or, give some "max headroom" now Shay-La, I'd call them, YOU, have to be nice! Well be nice, when YOU! Be nice. Theyd say. But then one day I said, hey look you two, Mr. Rodger Maxwell,  is married! To a female! So I have to at least keep my behavior in line with that. Talking is one thing, you know?
