CHAPTER - 6 { Gym Battle }
After catching Scyther, Kota applied medicine on the wounds of Charmander.
Treating Scyther as well, Kota was pleased to find that Scyther was very obedient and hardworking.
Another day went by in the forest, Kota trained Spearow, Charmander and Scyther.
As for Gyarados, there was no lake or river nearby to let him out of the pokeball.
"I have enough Pokemons for now, " Said Kota as he headed towards Pewter City.
On the way, many Beedrills came and stopped him from going forward.
Which angered Kota, he let Charmander fry these Beedrills into black carol.
Hours later___
The site of Pewter City, Kota breathed a sigh of relief from the Viridian Forest.
It was not so big, but very advanced compared to Earth in his past life.
'My first badge, how should I win it?, ' Thought Kota as he entered the city and looked around.

Pokemon Center___
After handing his pokemons, Kota relaxed in a room specially designed for pokemon trainers.
'When will Spearow and Charmander evolve?, ' Even though he knew that it was not time, thinking about evolution was obviously allowed.
When Kota woke up, he took a proper bath and went to the counter to get his pokemons back.
"Here you go, " Smiled Nurse Joy, who looked exactly the same as the one from Viridian City.
"Thanks, " Replied Kota, he took his pokemons and went towards the Pewter Gym.
When he reached the building, he was not really surprised by the structure.
The building looked like a rock house but with metal entrance doors.
*Clank*
The inside was huge, there were lights all around the Gym aimed in the middle.
In the middle, it was a separate ground with multiple boulders everywhere.
"Hey, anybody?, " Called Kota, turning his face in different directions.
"A challenger!, " A voice came from the upper level of the audience's sitting area.
Looking up, Kota saw a middle aged man with dark skin and spiky hair.
"Gym leader?, " Asked Kota as he crossed his arms over his chest and stared at the man.
"Just wait, I am coming!, " Said the man, as he walked towards the stairs and came down to the ground floor.
Both Kota and the man took the opposite sides of the battle field.
"I am Flint. And I am the gym leader of Pewter City Gym, " Introduced Flint as he looked at Kota with a plain expression.
"Skotadi Zaiaku, or simply Kota. I came here to challenge this Gym, " Introduced Kota while he stared back at Flint and grabbed his pokeball.
"One pokemon each, the first one that is unable to fight losses and the other wins, " Explaining the rules, Flint threw a pokeball on the battlefield.
"Go, Onix!, " Shouted Flint, from the pokeball came a gigantic snake-like creature.
But it was made up of many different boulders attached to each other.
"Ooooo!".
Onix, dual-type rock/ground pokémon. Known for its amazing strength and size.
"Let's finish this in a single breath, " Said Kota, he changed the pokeball which he wanted to throw.
As the white light went out, a huge blue pokemon stood opposite to Onix equally.
"How big is that Gyarados!, " Exclaimed Flint, he looked up to see that Gyarados was on equal footing with his Onix.
The difference in heights was only a few centimeters which was negotiable.
"Onix! Iron Tail! Don't let Gyarados attack you with his water type move!, " Shouted Flint without wasting much of the time like a veteran.
"Oooooo! Oaaaaa!".
"Try doing the same!, " Said Kota as he saw Flint start immediately.
"Gaaa!".
Gyarados swung his tail at Onix while the other was doing the same.
Both the tails collided and formed a small force that pushed the two pokemons behind.
"Hydro Pump!, " Taking the chance, Kota ordered Gyarados to do a water type move.
"Onix! Dig!, " Shouted Flint, he looked at Gyarados with caution and steady eyes.
Onix dodged the exploding Hydro Pump by digging his way in the ground.
'Why don't these people learn it?, ' Thought Kota as he wanted to laugh at Flint for his fortune.
"Use Hydro Pump in the hole!, " Said Kota, already calculating his victory over the gym.
"Gaaa!".
Gyarados released the Hydro Pump inside the hole that Onix created was also still in.
"No! Onix, come out!, " Shouted Flint but he was a few seconds later as a scream came from the hole.
"Oooo! Oaaaa!".
Water filled the hole, Onix successfully came out of the hole but as soon as he did.
He fell unconscious on the ground and the battle came to an end.
"I lost, " Said Flint with a dejected voice but he shook his head and called Onix back in his pokeball.
"Thanks buddy, you did good, " Said Flint in a low voice to the pokeball before looking at Kota with a smile.
"You won, this is the proof that you beat the Pewter City Gym, " Said Flint as he handed Kota a small badge that looked like a patterned boulder.
"Thanks, " Replied Kota, what more could he say not to hurt Flint. Today's gym match was really easy to win.
But never can say the same about other gyms.
"Gyarados is enough for the next gym battle, " Said Kota as he went to the market to buy some supplements.
He still had lots of money on him, and the bank account card also for his use.
After buying the supplements, he also bought some extra pokeballs and required portions.
Everything set, Kota walked out of the city and headed to his next destination.
Cerulean City!
But before that, Kota decided to get some things from Mt. Moon on the way.
'A Moon Stone would be good, ' Thought Kota as he came out of the city and went into the forest.
