Daniel POV

"What do you mean? There's nothing we can do?" I asked angrily while looking at my father. We moved to my father's house after my safehouse just burned down. I'm currently discussing the situation with my father and liam. Noah, stella and Aiden are in their rooms. They had gone through a lot, they needed the rest.

"But Dad Daniel was technically engaged with Ella. Can't he do anything?" Liam reasoned. I gave my father a hopeful look but he just sighed.

"It was just a promise. He wasn't engaged to her. If he was married to her then yeah we might have a chance saving her but even then killing a family member is a big crime and she would have to face the consequences." He said. I just hate how much helpless I am. I can't do anything and that is eating me alive.
