Strange Voice
Nicholas POV
I didn't know that there would be a lot of business meeting in her company but I'm glad that I'm the CEO and I can help her
I'm a little bit sleepy right now since I have trouble sleeping last night. What time is it? I checked my phone and it's already 9:30am yet I didn't have a breakfast
What should I cook? or maybe I'll just eat at the office since I need to follow my schedule for today
"Bob, what is my schedule for today?" I asked since he is my personal assistant and madeline is my secretary in the company
"You have a meeting at 11am at the office then madeline will tell you the other schedule for today. Here is the suit you need to wear" Mr. Bob hand me over the suit then I should changed now since time is running out for me
"Can you meet the curator for the museum exhibit we need to do for the celebration of 4th anniversary of Dream Sunshine Company. Sent an email to Mr and Mrs. Wong our gratitude" I order him and he did it immediately
I wear the suit then my phone ring and I checked who is calling. It's unknown number and I just cancel the call but I received a message from this number
"You can't hide forever, you can't protect her even you want to"
Who is this? Does this person know?
"I think you text the wrong number" I reply then it suddenly call again
"Hello" whoever you are stopping messing around me or else I'll hunt you down
There is no one answering or responding. I should en... "She can't remember you at all, yet you're going to protect her?"
"Who are you" I said because I think this is a prank
"Staying by her side, can only put her in danger which you can never save her" then I hear someone laughing
"Nicholas" I looked around and someone is playing around me
"Show off yourself, let's meet now! Stop messing around and I don't know who you are!" I shout which make me feel triggered
"She died because of you and now you want to be a good person"
"Stop talking nonsense! reveal yourself!" I feel like I need to hunt this person
"You'll meet me soon but not this time because you won't like it if that happens"
"You coward! Reveal yourself now!"
"You already met me, but you just don't remember nor recognize me at all"
"Who are you! What do you want! You coward witch!"
"You can never protect her because it will only put her in danger" she said vulgarly and laugh like a crazy witch woman
"The person you love will kill you"
"You must be a girl! I'm not afraid of you that is why let's meet and stop hiding yourself whoever you are" this woman keep saying nonsense things
"You can't even tell her who you really are" then I hear her laugh
"Who are you! Stop being coward you wrench woman!"
"You'll find out soon and what will happen if she remembers you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about! Stop whining!" I said that made me feel furious but I should act normal
"You can never save her like before nicholas. And protecting her will only bring her to death" then the call ended when Mr. Bob suddenly enter
"Mr. Haver, are you alright?" he asked and I just nodded "Ah yes, I'm fine"
"You look pale Mr. Haver. Do you want me to cancel all of your schedule today?" he asked and look at the mirror. He's right but I need to go to the meeting and follow my schedule
"No need, I'm fine don't worry. Let's go now they might be waiting for us" Whoever you are, I'll hunt you down. But her voice is familiar and how does she know?
"Mr. Haver, the car is ready" he said and left the house. Then I check my schedule on the tablet. Maybe I should relax myself for a bit but that voice keeps bothering me. I also don't have enough sleep, I might as well cancel the other schedule to take a rest later

Madeline POV
Early this morning, I have a heavy wake up routine which makes my body fallen asleep and I can't think right. Or it is because too much of editing videos for the comeback teaser of sassy girls.
I had trouble sleeping again that is why I went here in the office early just to grasp my thoughts and ideas at the meeting since its already 9am and Mr. Haver is not here yet
I should start taking care of him since I'm his secretary but these days I'm a little bit busy working on other proposal then for the grand party later at the Monarch Beach Resort to meet the CEO of Elite Group
"Have you contact or email the secretary of Ms. Melissa Chua about the grand party?" I asked to jasmine but she is not into herself and still feel sleepy then I snap my two finger three times to let her come into her senses
"Ah..ah..what is it.. what is it?" I can't stop laughing at her when everytime she do that. Her mouth is open wide and her eyes are twinkling like a brat
Mr. Haver is here and he apologize arriving late at the meeting then his personal assistant left while he is trying to relax but at the same feel furious. He is sweating
"Since I'm late, there's no meeting for today and maybe next time I'll set another meeting. My apologies" Mr. Haver said then he stand up then followed him. I noticed he looks pale and didn't enough sleep. He feel disturbed
"Mr. Haver, is there something bothering you?" I asked with a low voice
"Ah nothing don't worry about me Ms. Thompson. What is my schedule for today?" he asked
"You have a meeting with Mr. Lacson at 12nn for the fashion show. Then lunch meeting with the manhattan group at 2pm" I think he is not listening but just looking at the window
"Go on, I'm listening"
"While another meeting with our business partner in global fashion company at 4pm but the CEO is in New York so you will talk to the brand director and marketing. You're going to meet him next time since his secretary will send me the available schedule of Mr. Nam" I said while looking at the tablet
"Anything else?"
"You also have a conference meeting again with director wang. Lastly, a grand party at the Monarch Beach Resort to meet the Ceo of Elite Group at 7pm" I said but this time I looked at him because he is already looking at me like he want to tell me something
"What is your dream madeline?" he suddenly asked me even it's not related to any business
"My dream is you" when my mind suddenly hear it and it's my own voice who said that which my own feelings have becoming more weird when I'm with Mr. Haver and it gets more painful than what I realize but this is the only time I met him without knowing his life.
I feel like I met someone who already asked me with this same question
Seems to me, I fe....."Actually, my dream will never be complete without you in it" why do I always think strange thoughts and keep hearing something that will pop into my mind a glimpse of memories
Is it my memories? Why do I feel I lost someone?
"Madeline, you seem quiet. It's fine you don't need to answer it" Mr. Haver took back his question which make me stop thinking what should I say to him
"Sorry about that, I'm have trouble sleeping lately and been zoning out. My apologies, Mr. Haver" I said slight bow down of head to a sincere apology
"No it's fine"
"Do you miss someone Mr. Haver?" where did question came from? all of sudden, it pops up to my mind. Madeline, you should set separately of your personal feelings and work
"Sorry to as...."
"Yes, but she doesn't remember me at all" he stared at me and didn't look away but I avoid contact with him because it will get awkward if he stares at me like that
"I know she's been waiting for me a long time but she can't remember anything as of now" then he looked again at the window
"Did you meet her again?" I asked because my curiosity wants to know. Because the girl is lucky to have Mr. Haver
"Yes, I already did" he said and smile because he didn't notice that I was looking at him. This is my first time seeing him smile like that and meeting the girl he miss
"Where did you met her?" why can't I stop asking him a question but he doesn't seem to be bothered with all of my question
"At the park, a clumsy girl who don't even remember me but it's fine as long she is doing great. Just seeing her makes me happy"
Why do I feel like that I am the woman he is referring to? But I don't want to think that I am because I am not the woman and it is someone else
"She actually have a bright smile, soft hearted, honest and fiercely passionate. One thing I like about her, she is sincere when it comes to her heart" he continue saying which make my heart flutter even I'm not that girl he is talking about
Someone knocked at the door "Come in, thank you for the conversation madeline and you may go back to your work now"
Then I left his office since Mr. Bob is there to assist him with the schedule meetings he has today and later tonight at the grand party
"What took you so long? I've been calling you" jasmine said she seems to be having a problem
"I think Ieft my phone on my office. Is there any problem?" I asked because she is making me feel anxious right now
"It just that...It just that.." she can't say it properly
"Jasmine calm down" I said and hold her sp she stop shuttering
"The EXO want to be an ambassador of our company because CEO Lee email us"
I thought what happen to him already if she could act or say something like that I feel like she had a problem and it was stressful to look at her
"Don't do that again, you're making anxious" I said
"Oh sorry, I'm just too excited for me to meet them" what a fangirl do is to feel excited all the time just to meet their idol since I'm already used to it
"I need to talk walk outside for awhile" I said
"When will your bodyguard come back? Here you go walking outside the company yet without a bodyguard with you. What if some..."
"Just stop the nagging jasmine, I'll be fine. You sound like my mother" left the office and went out for a walk which is somehow a little bit bored since I'm done all the other work and fixed the meetings of Mr. Haver
I can see a lot of people here in the park with their friends, family and loved ones. I aslo see some couples holding hands together and having a picnic
When a kid is passing by the street but it is still on a red light then a car is on a speed limit. I run to her as fast I can and pushed her away so that she won't get hurt.
I hear the loud beep of the car then I can't move my body because it got stiff. I just closed my eyes and see what will happen, all of a sudden someone pulled me
"Why do you always put yourself in danger!"
It's Mr. Haver and I can see in his eyes. He is worries, anxious and afraid
"Why do you always make me worry!" then he suddenly hugged me and I don't know why this happen but he is really worry
"I thought I lost you again. This time I won't make that happen again and I'm going to protect you" this is the only think I can hear right now and everything is blurred. It's like just the two of us here right now
"Madeline, look at me" this is the closest eye contact I ever had with a person
"Look into my eyes" I look at him, his eyes are telling me something "Forget what you hear and happened today" then my mind block out and there's nothing I can think of. I just hear a snap of finger calling my attention
"Madeline, what are you doing here?" I see a guy smiling at me and I look closely. My feet move backward but suddenly I fell but Mr. Haver grab my hand. Fortunately, he caught me and help me to stand up from where I am standing
"What just happened?" because my head feel a little bit dizzy and my mind is somewhere else. Did I zone out again?
"Ah I saw you walking at the park and I should asked you to have a lunch with me because I don't like eating alone" Mr. Haver said
"How about the lunch meeting with the manhattan group?" did he leave the meeting because of me. Oh please tell me he didn't
"They cancel it, since they have business to do so they asked me to set another meeting with them" Thankfully, it's not my fault and my heart skip a beat for awhile. What a relief
"Thank you for saving my daughter" the woman said to me while she is holding her cute daughter. I don't understand what she is saying
Me? I save her daughter? That is so weird "Mr. Haver, did I do something here?" I asked him but no one is responding I turned around but he's not here. Awhile ago, he's just here or I'm just imagining things
"Did you see a man beside me awhile ago?" I asked the woman
"Ah no, but thank you again" then she left. Wow! My mind is keep imagining things and I hope this weird feeling will be gone
I need to go back to the office or maybe later. Why do I still keep forgetting things?
"Madeline" Do I know him? But he looks familiar, I think I met him somewhere
"I've been texting you, but it seems to you're busy" he said. My mind seems to be sulking lately since too much work to handle "Sorry I keep forgetting to bring my phone with me"
"Are you waiting for someone?" he asked
"Ah, about that. My boss just left and I'm just walking around here in the park"
"That's a relief" why do he keep talking to me with honorifics? He's a weird guy
"Are you seeing someone?" he keep asking question when I should be asking him who he is
"Who you must be?" I put honorifics and raised my one eyebrow so he should know that I'm not interested in talking to him now
"Nicholas Angelo Oh, we met on the blind date" he said and it is functioning in my head to see if I know that name
"I'm so sorry because I'm too pre-occupied right now. Sorry for my rude approach" I said but he didn't mind and just smile at me. He hand me something and it feels heavy
"What is this?" I asked because he is too generous to give me a stuff like this as if we're close to have this relationship
"Have you eaten yet?" he asked and it's weird like he knows me
"No, but I'm about to. Why did you ask?" I said sarcastic
"Just check what inside" he said then some tall guy approached him and wait it's Mr. Bob. Is he working with him?
"Let's go Nicholas" I remember, I saw him last time in our company at the parking lot and he looks like Mr. Haver because I thought it was him but I'm mistaken
"Excuse me, sorry to ask this" I'm a little bit rude to do by asking it but I hope he won't be offended by asking too much of his time
"Give her a minute, Mr. Bob" he also have the same voice with Mr. Haver. Why didn't I figure this out?
"Nevermind nicholas, you can go now" I said and bid my goodbye to him. He went inside the car then waved at me "See you next time, don't let yourself starve" well he is a sweet guy and concern about my health same with Mr. Haver
What did he brought? Because it's really heavy. I checked it and it's a strawberry cake, macaroon and ice cream. How did he know it's my favorite food to eat?
I went back to the office and share this food to jasmine since she also like this strawberry cake. I do feel dizzy all of a sudden and my heads hurt. Suddenly, I let go of the food I was holding from nicholas
"Madeline, go back where you really from"
"Madeline, you should have taken your revenge"
"He killed you"
"He wants to destroy you at all that is why he keep you by his side"
"Who are you"
What's happening? I hear that strange voice again that is coming to my head
"He left you"
"Who are you" I said and she keeps saying nonsense things that I don't even know
"Destroy what is must. You are the ruler and kill everyone who stops you"
"Stay away from me!"
"Is she alright?"
"I think, she is having a mental breakdown"
"Shouldn't we help her go to the hospital? She looks so pale"
I see people staring at me. But I'm not a crazy person and someone voices is bothering me
"He erased your memories so that you couldn't remember the pain you have" like who? please just stay away from me
"I'll kill everyone who comes on my way"
I suddenly kneel down and touch my head because it really hurts. My mind went blank and I couldn't see clearly because the surroundings is blurred. I can't moved my body it feels like someone is controlling it. I have short breathe and I lost my conscious then collapsed

Nicholas POV
She seems to uncomfortable on me when everytime I talk to her even once. But I understand why she is acting like that
"Can you just tell her nicholas who you really are?" Bob said
"No I can't, it is not the time yet to tell her who I am" I said because I want to make a lot of things for her without letting her know
"Why did you erase the incident happened in her mind awhile ago?" bob can't really stop asking me a question. I know he is worried about me but I'm totally fine as long as I can protect her
"Because I don't want her to think the things happening around her" My feelings suddenly mixed up and I said the things that made her confused then I can see in her eyes that she wants to know why I said that
"Why didn't you just let it be? It will make it worst" Bob said who keeps saying something on me. He's like a dad to me who take care of me all this time when I went back and guarded me
"Bob, why don't you used your real name Peter? Should I call you that?" I asked and I know he still don't want to reveal who he is in this world
"Why do you hate your brother?" He almost killed me and being greedy always lose is dignity
"Okay, nevermind nicholas. But he is just protecting you"
"No he is not, he killed the woman I love and too selfish" I can never forget what he did
"Just forget what I've said, you still have to attend on the grand party later nicholas" he said and prepare my suit tonight since I'm going to meet the CEO of the Elite Group
"What are my other schedule? Do I still have a meeting left?" I said since I let bob do the thing for me since I don't have much time to go back before arthur figure out I leave my post
"Only the grand party nicholas, don't let yourself be caught. I know you miss her and want her to bring back all the memories" But I don't think I can't wait any longer even I want to before everything goes back again
"We're just protecting you nicholas from the danger she might put you in" Bob really is worried about me but I can fight my own
"Still she is the queen of the kingdom that we need to protect and bring her back" I said bluntly
"She's becoming selfish and greedy for her own sake!" bob shouted then I don't want to talk to him anymore at this time because I can't hold myself back that would hurt him
"We're here" then he open the door and I went out as bob will park the car, I go straight at the suite to change myself into suit
As I change my clothes I think I need to bring madeline a bouquet of flower
"See, you're just going to put her in danger"
Its her again, why can she just show herself than saying nonsense things
"I found out, you still love her but can't even tell her who you are because you're afraid that she will remember everything"
"WHO ARE YOU! STOP FOOLING AROUND AND SHOW YOURSELF!"
"You will find out soon and you'll see who I really am" then she laugh out loud
"Why not now! You coward witch!"
"Nicholas, are you afraid that she might find who you are?"
"Why would I? Who do you think you are!" this making me mad and want to kill this witch.
"You're the one who killed her"
"Shut up you witch!" I shouted then clinch my fist
"You should go back where you really came from instead staying by her side"
Bob suddenly entered the room and looking at me "Are you alright nicholas? This also happen awhile ago. I hearing you shouting like talking to someone"
"You'll die by her own hands" that is the last she said and laugh like a crazy witch
"Nothing, let's just go on the grand party since it's already time"
He prepared the car while me thinking who the hell is that wench woman keep bothering me and I think I should find the reason why does she know me and about madeline ever since that day

Madeline POV
Ah, my head hurts and what happened. All I know someone voice is talking to me and telling me I should go back where I came from
Where is that place? All I know or remember is holding what nicholas gave me strawberry cake, macaroon and ice cream. But now, I don't even know where I am
I feel something rough and my back is like laying on a tree. I opened my eyes and look around which I see full of trees and a deer is looking at me. Then it licks my face
"Oh okay, I'm fine now and you can go your way" I said and the deer left
"Where am I?" This place isn't familiar with me and I don't know where to go. I try to stand up, then touch my face and clothes which I checked. Am I wearing a dress? it was all wet and ripped
What's going on here?" It feels like someone is about to kill me and I need to think clearly because my head still hurts
"Excuse me, do you know where is this place?" I look like an idiot talking to these animals and wishing for them to talk to me because I don't know the direction here
Maybe I'm just dreaming right now. Let me try to pinch myself and it really hurts so I'm not dreaming at all which is I'm here. I can't even see any single building
"Please help me here" I talked to myself like a stupid girl who is lost in the middle of the forest and it really happened now
I tried to walk fast to look for a sign or any direction but there is none all trees and animals. I didn't even see single road here which make it even more distracting
"Queen, where are you?" I hear voices looking for someone
"Queen, it's all over" I should hide myself or else they might kill me. I wish I could just wake up in this dream and will never come back because it's a little bit scary
"Melissa, lets play here" I hear another voice in my mind which feels like my own voice and this forest have a connection in me
"No princess, it's dangerous and we should go back. The queen and king might look for us" maybe its the melissa who's talking but why did she mention my name? Does she know me?
"Please melissa, let's play" she begged like she really want to play here in the forest which it is really big "Pardon me, princess. We should go back now to the kingdom"
I don't understand why I see myself on her and feel like I belong here
"It's been century since the queen is missing yet we can't find here on what happened because of the evil woman who controlled and put a spell on the queen" Please let this dream end
"Where did the king go? Find him right now"
"Isn't it, he is in the kingdom. Reading all the scrolls and request of the people"
"I found out, he is not there. All of you will be in jail"
"I told you to protect the king and never leave his side until I gave my orders"
"The king told us to guard the kingdom and let him know if there is thief going in"
"Right instant, check on the king!"
"My queen, where are you?"
"It's been a century, since she is missing after what happened to her and to his wicked elder sister"
I can't suddenly breathe then suddenly closed my eyes which make me feel like I'm living between my life and death right now because time holds everything that fate is beyond life
I opened my eyes again and I saw Mr. Haver strangled which makes me short out of breathe
"Mr. Haver, I ca...can't....breathe" I said and tears fell in my eyes then he let go of me. I touch my neck and I just sat on the grass which I don't know why he is trying to kill me and I cried because of what I saw that he was about to kill me until I collapsed
