Chapter 6: Blind Date
Madeline POV
I hate it when everytime I woke up early. That weekly basis project is on a due date on saturday. Saturday is good day but I find it hectic on my schedule because is the only thing I can do things freely
Things get rough when I don't focus on the important things within the day and it ruined my daily routine for work and home
Why would I even bother asking this time? Because jasmine is here without letting me know why is she staying but I let her be since we're close enough
"What time is it?" I asked since I just woke up and because of her loud voice "It's already 10:30 in the morning" that's amazing, it's still early at this time and I never thought I would wake up this late for the first time because I don't remember when did I start waking up late
"Don't bother calling me at this time" it's too early to hear someone this time, and it keeps me awake with no reason.
"Is it kenneth again?" because they always keep fighting without clearing their misunderstanding
"I hate that guy" she is complaining even she loves kenneth but hate to break up
"Why don't you just break up with him?" that made her serious
"Madeline!" calm down, I'm just kidding
"I will never ever going to break up with him. I need to let him feel the pain before I do that" that's kind of realistic thing to do
At least I get a lot of sleeps thanks to jasmine after doing a lot proposal for past 8 months which made me wide awake now because of jasmine voice
"Why are you here?" I suddenly asked her because she sleep her without telling me the reason about it and woke up early because she's too loud when snoring
"Well, of course. I want to check on you. You're crying again every night. I still remember like for past 3 years" she doesn't need to tell me about it because I don't know the main reason for the pain I have
"It seems to me that Mr. Haver likes you as a secretary" where did she get thay grumpy thought when he has a secretary itself
"Madeline, are you ready later?" that made me confused. What is she talking about? I just look at her and she is waiting for me to respond at her which I don't know what for
"Are you forgetting things easily madeline? Hello, you have a blind date later?" That shocked me. I didn't expect that from him setting me up a blind date again with a stranger who I don't know. Why didn't she tell me? Or is it me who doesn't remember anything? Why do I keep forgetting things that I shouldn't?
"Let have som... ah wait someone is calling me" she said and answer the call
"I told not to bo..What?? Don't tell me you forgot to do it?"
"Come on babe, I'll never talk to you if you forgot"
"I said stop it! To talk to me next time if you have better things to tell me because you're wasting my time with your nonsense talk!" she's really mad right now and end the call
After that one big fight scene to her boyfriend, now she's out of focus. I snapped my finger to let her go back to normal. "Are you nervous?" because she is sweating after talking
"Doesn't he always think that I'm a pushover? Not a chance at all" she is talking like a cocky girl knowing that she still loves her boyfriend
"Perhaps you should at least help him when he needs it"
"Why should I? Even I'm his girlfriend, he still need to do it on his own" I can't even win this argument with her because she never run out to say back to you
"I never imagined you could do that him" I just laughed but she is still mad because her nostril will blown out a fire and explosive anytime
"Okay relax, we should go downstairs now and eat breakfast" I said and pushed her step by step. She is doing it again that tantrum like a kid who wants to asked for a candy
Jasmine suddenly stopped then I bumped into her back which made my nose hurt a bit. I massaged it "Why did yo..." "Mr. Haver, you're here" he is wearing an apron and cook us a food for breakfast
"I just stopped by here and checked on madeline since I'm worried for her health" that made me smile while jasmine have a suspicious smile looking at me
"He cares for you" she whispered but I hit her with my elbow to keep her mouth shut for awhile "Ouch, that hurts"
It really creeps me out when jasmine fall in love easily. It only takes five second for her to fall in love with another person
"Jasmine, you should at least close your mouth while looking at him" I said and laughed. She is embarrased then covered her face
"Morning madeline" he said and put the food on the table
"I cook your favorite food" I suddenly stop and made me curious. How did he know about it?
"Mr. Haver" jasmine is also shocked
"I asked you yesterday, what to prepare for madeline since she is not feeling well" he said to jasmine while she is confused
"Ha...wait.. WHAT!! Are you sick?" she is shaking me hard and makes me feel dizzy then Mr. Haver stopped her doing it because he noticed that I'm uncomfortable but jasmine did it again and squish my face like a kid
"Jasmine stop doing that" I said then she pinched my cheek but suddenly crying. You're making me embarrased infront of Mr. Haver
"Oh sorry about that Mr. Haver" jasmine apologized and wiped her tears
"I didn't know, you have a great skills in cooking Mr. Haver" jasmine is really into Mr. Haver that make her blush even after fighting with her boyfriend
Mr. Haver just approached me and put his palm on my forehead "Mr. Haver, what are you doing?" I'm about to feel uncomfortable and about ro sit on the other chair but he just looked at me
"You're finally fine since the fever is gone down" he removed his hands and sit down for a bit
I can finally eat again my favorite dish "I heard you have a blind date later" I spit the water on his face
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Mr. Haver" I said and apologize with full of embarrassement
"How did you know Mr. Haver?" jasmine asked
"I went upstairs to knock on your room madeline but I heard the two of you talking about blind date" he explained
Who wouldn't even thought that he would hear about it because of jasmine loud voice "It's your loud voice that anyone can hear it outside the room" I whispered
"I need to go now, I have a meeting with the board directors and other business partner. Madeline, you can take the day off and jasmine fixed me a meeting with the sassy girls next month" he said and seems to be hurry that made me want him to stay for awhile to ask him something but maybe next time since he needed to go
"Starting tomorrow, you'll be my secretary madeline" this is the final thing he say to me and left the house
" I find him attractive and the way he cares for you madeline. Don't you sense anything?" I just laughed about what she say even I find it sweet.
He take care of you even we just met for two days and He is the new CEO of the company. Of course, he just want to check all of his employee and there's nothing else about it
"I already prepared the dress you're going to wear later" she is always ready when it comes to blind date. Well I can never blame her, she met kenneth because of blind date
"You must be madeline, nice to meet you" here we go again, I start to hear that voice again
"Madeline, are you alright?" my head hurts, I suddenly feel weak but I should overcome it. I don't want jasmine to worry about me
"Yes, I'm fine. No need to worry about me. What time is the blind date?" I asked since she didn't tell me yet where to meet the guy
"He will message you" maybe I should at least see it before I make mistakes because I don't want to ruin this moment. Maybe he is the right one for me or not. I went upstairs to fixed myself. Put a little make-up since I prefer to look simple then I wear the dress that jasmine bought me then someone knock at the door "Come in, I'm almost done"
"He message me already, he'll just wait you at the restaurant" jasmine said while smiling suspiciously because she really knows me
I ask one of my bodyguard to send me off to the location of the restaurant. He just nodded and prepared to leave "Text me madeline" I put a thumbs up on her and left the house now
"You can relax for a bit Ms. Thompson, we will arrive safely in our destination" I nodded at him and stare at the window for a bit. One thing I did in my life is to do vlog since I can experience a lot of things in different places with jasmine because I never been with someone else
"Mr. Tucker, have you been to any places that you wish you have?" I asked me and keep asking people around me, what do they do in their life that always make me curious
"No Ms. Thompson, but how I wish I was and go to the places with my wife" I forgot that Mr. Tucker has two kids and his beloved wife. Maybe I should at least give him a vacation for a week to be with his family
"You can see your family starting next week Mr. Tucker. I'll tell my mom about it don't worry" I said and saw him smiling which make me feel happy seeing someone smile
"We're here Ms. Thompson, and just let me know what time will I fetch you" he said and I hugged him tight he is like a father to me because he is the one who took care of me when my parents are busy at work. That is why my parents trust him
He always protect me and keep me safe wherever I go
"Thank you so much Mr. Tucker. This is for you and your family. Can you say hi to Mrs. Tucker and for the twins for me?" he can't accept the money but I just put it on his pocket to treat his family on a good restaurant
He's about to cry but I hugged him again "Just call me madeline and treat me like your own daughter. Since you been here for me when my parents are always busy" he smiled and I did the same thing
"Thank you madeline" he said and told him he can leave already. Well at least Mr. Tucker is here when my parents are not
I think he's not here yet. Maybe I should wait him inside the restaurant
"May I ask for how many table?"
"For 2 people please" I said and he lead the way. The view here is great, I might as well take a look while waiting for him .
My phone rings suddenly, jasmine is calling me. I forgot to message her once I arrived here. I answered the call
"How was it? Did you met him already?" - jasmine
Here she goes at least she should be asking me first if I'm safe
"Not yet"
"So you got there first before him" how can I explain it to her?
"Yes, how is the meeting?"
"We did a lot of things, and I'm not used to it when you're not around" she really loves my presence when she only do is to look for comestic and vacation promo while I handle everything
"How is Mr. Haver doing?"
"Omg, are you worried about him?" she is going to teased when I asked about him
"Of course, he might need help since I'm his secretary"
"I don't know, he went outside to meet his business partner from New York" - jasmine
He seems to be busy today and jasmine talks a lot of things since she love to barge everything. How could I even hate her when she is this jolly and cute?
"Would you like to order?"
"Who's that?" - jasmine
"Ah the waiter, I'll just call you later. Bye" I end the call
"Maybe later, thank you" I said and he left. Maybe I should take a picture here. 1....2....3
I should take another shot since the the scenery is beautiful. I can't even take the angle perfectly
Someone hold my hand and look who it was "You can do it that way" then smiled at me. Do I know him? "You must be madeline, nice to meet you"
That made me surprise, why do I feel like I already meet him? I don't know but I feel we have connection to each other and this voice is familiar from what I hear
"You look pale" he said and I asked for a water
"Do you want to go home now? You're not feeling well I think" I don't want him to think I'm weak so I just smiled at him
"Ah no, I'm fine" I said
"I forgot to introduced myself. I'm Nicholas Angelo Oh, the CEO of Young Dreamers Agency Entertainment" he offered a seat to me. He's a gentleman and polite. I might as well get to know him
"I'm Madeline Thompson, The Ceo of Dream Entertainment" I introduced myself
"How did you get to know jasmine?" I asked him
"Actually there is a matchmaking agency, then they call me which I don't know what for but I just said even I don't go for a blind dates then they sent me your photo. So I should give it try and it's true you're pretty in person at the same time in the photo" he said which I find it cheesy and funny. It feels like my first time again going in a blind date who made me smile
"Did I just made you smile?" he is looking at me and he's the only guy who make me put a smile on my face on this blind date. Why do I feel comfortable while talking to him? Maybe he had dated a lot of girls already that is why I find it very common
"Have you dated a lot of girls?" I asked suddenly then he just stop for a moment. Did I offend him? I should leave now and get my things but he saw me standing up and let me sit again
"Did I offend him? This is what you're thinking" Is he a mind reader?
"It's all over your face madeline" then he laughed. I find him funny at the same he speak like a king
"Are you a king?" I asked
"Do I look like one? But I'm not and also I never dated a girl before"
We started to talk to each other and I find it comfortable, the way he talk makes me feel happy and I can't stop smiling because of his silly jokes. I might get along with this conversation and I find it interesting since we have some similar traits to share. It feels like is just the two of us at this very moment
