"Are you done?" He stood and walked away without looking back. 

Ylvia let out the tears she was holding and kissed the prince's tiny face. He had the cutest pair of bright eyes, the perfect blend of golden and emerald. For the next few days, Loretta took over Delaney's tasks while Ylvia mostly took care of the newborn prince. While she would help Loretta out sometimes, most of her time was spent in the nursery. 

Surprisingly, little demons weren't hard to take care of—at least little demons who were not Delaney. As long as he was clean and well fed, Destrian would be calm and sleep most of the time. It was even much easier when Ylvia realized she could understand his needs as soon as he was in her arms. 

However, that took a wild turn within four days of his life. 

"He won't stop crying!" Ylvia nearly yelled at the physician who had, for the second time, claimed the boy was alright.  "Even if he does fall asleep, it is only for a few minutes.
