Chapter 22: 22

Damien slipped unnoticed into Hargrove. He watched as Alena and he friend’s lured venerable males in, slaughtering them when their defenses were down. Black tar twisting round their bodies suffocating them.

‘I see he taught you well.’

She looked up straight at the dark haired, dark eyed male. ‘Who are you?’

‘Guess you missed me?’ He said ignoring her initial question.

‘You got a death wish.’

‘Have you?’

She stared blank at the stranger who seemed to have an answer for everything she threw at him. ‘I’ll kill you!’

He laughed. ‘You can’t do that.’

‘Why?’

‘Do you know Reficul?’

‘He’s my father, and you are?’

‘Damien. His son, your brother.’

‘Girls leave us.’

‘Be careful Alena.’

‘I will. Tell X where I am.’

‘Sure.’

Helena and Stacey pulled themselves up leaving Alena and Damien alone. Looking at him saying nothing.

‘Where’s Alena?’

‘With some guy claiming to be her brother.’
