After a few hours, David quickly sat right up, fully awake, ready to go murder some beasts.
"Hgnn... more training I guess..." David got up to stretch, doing the twists, splits, you name it.
He quickly found a spot and sat down, settling his schedule for the day.
"Stretchings done, so I guess maybe I should try out how flux works now before working on something else... maybe I'll even get another quest from this..." David muttered.
Settling for a meditation stance, David focused on how to use flux, as the information had always rushed into his brain, though he just never tried doing it before.
Skimming through the knowledge flooding his mind, his tense body slowly relaxes and became more and more in tune with his surroundings.
The mana around him seemed to stop and even flowed out of him. David could feel the mana around him, but it was different. He could feel dense mana, much purer, yet scarce as if it would run away if there was a slight interruption.
Then... there appeared several golden shards, revolving around him. Seeing that they weren't refined at all, David began using his knowledge and {Magic Control} to change the forms of the energy revolving around him, slowly turning it into small balls around the size of a golf ball.
Then, the golf shaped ball turned into a liquid, which flowed into the hands of David, or... more specifically, the claws that were involuntarily drawn.
The claws glowed, and a small outline of gold surrounded it, making it appear divine.

Abruptly opening his eyes, David panted, looking at his glowing claws.
"Seems like adapting to conditions like this really does affect my stats..."
'Wait... that attribute leap... would that have killed me if I was not focused for even a second?' David shivered slightly at the thought.
"Maybe making some clothes would be a good choice right now since I didn't get any hidden quest from doing this..." David muttered, taking out a bunch of bats he's collected over some period of time.
David quickly took out his {Scaling Dismantling Knife} and cut them all up into small sections of meat, wings, fur, and organs. He stored everything but the fur and thought about how he would be able to make upper body clothing from them...
"Wait! Magic... maybe? Let's try it out..." David shouted, revolving some pure blue neon mana around him before storing them as a yarn ball in his hand.
He skillfully and gracefully connected the bat fur and cut off some holes so that he could put his head, and arms in. Because of the hot temperature, he went for more of a wildlife caveman type clothing.
Looking at the grey fur clothes in his hands, David put it on to see how it fits, and surprisingly, it was quite comfy, even if it was in a cave full of fire mana and lava.

As he was relishing the feeling of clothes again, David shouted, "Fuck! I forgot about my {Gift Package}! System, open the {Gift Package}!"

"Wait, wha-ARGHHH!!!" David screamed and rolled on the ground after reading the contents of the gift box.
While the items were automatically being stored in his inventory, David kept screaming as he felt a burning sensation while also feeling that salt was being rubbed on those wounds. He was actually bleeding, yet it was healing quite quickly as well, and due to David's monster senses, he felt a multiplier on the pain.
The screams echoed throughout the halls and even attracted the monsters, but the rising aura from David, slowly resembling more of a dragon scared them off as if they would be swallowed if they stayed.
After a while, David began to even get used to the pain, as he himself felt that the pain was still the same, it just didn't hurt as much at the same time.
After a somewhat painful process, it became an itch instead, which he complied and itched it.
"Damn! That was painful as hell!" David looked at the interface, seeing what he had gained.

"Well... Kuh... kuh... kuh, seems worth it?" David coughed as he was still getting used to the changes in his vocal cord and his entire body, making his voice slightly more hoarse.
"What time is it? Didn't seem like much time has even passed..." David looked at the system interface, only to find out that it was around 3 pm.
"Later than I expected, but that's fine. Let's look at the lottery." The lottery opened up, showing two new sections as well.

"I don't need armor yet, nor a weapon, guess I'll just go for knowledge, and maybe random..." David was hesitant, but the curiosity got the best of him. He spent 3 darts on each and looked at the results.

"Wha-not gonna complain, I did get two rare drops...and a free notebook for note-taking in the future..." David calmed down after looking at the results.
Taking out the other two textbooks, David decided to pass the day by reading and memorizing the entire thing in one go while also taking some notes on the things he didn't understand.

Reading the whole day away, David stored everything before lighting a campfire, looking up at the ceiling.
'Looks like I'll need to either escape or go deeper down... nah I'm too lazy, I'll just escape...' David closed his eyes and fell asleep.
