Chapter 27: K...Kelvin?

Adaora often spent her new years in her parents' house; it was one tradition her mother insisted on every year. But that year, she was filled with doubt as to whether to go or not, owing to the fact that she hadn't spoken with her parents since she returned, and hadn't been out of her house either except on the 30th when she had gone to the office and shared the Christmas bonus.

It was as though it had deepened her longing for Kelvin; she wanted to be with him, to talk with him and tell him how much he had changed her life.

But each time her fingers hovered on the keyboard, she seemed to lose all courage to make the first move, afraid that he had probably moved on and already considered her a vacation fling.

The imagination scared her, and she didn't want to face that reality. Because she still dreamt of him, remembered the feeling of his warm touch, engraved the memory of his smile in her memory; she couldn't face the possible reality that he had forgotten about her.
